Tarpon's — Restaurant in Panama City

Have been to this place twice now. Both times, I’ve been given a glass that was dirty and had obvious lipstick marks. The first time, the waitress grabbed another glass, wiped it with her shirt, and then poured the liquid from one glass to another.

The second instance was 7/4/25- I ordered a bbq flatbread and a water. The flatbread was fantastic and the waiter kind, but again my water glass (pictured) had lipstick stains on it that were clearly not mine. I brought it up to the staff and while they were sympathetic the most they offered was a To-go cup of water. I also brought it up to the supervisor on site and showed them a picture of the glass. I was thanked for reporting it and they said sorry that happened, but to me that’s a poor resolution , especially when I stated that this was the second time that it’s happened. This is honestly disgusting and sickening- I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s had this experience. If I go back I’ll order food but no more drinks, not even water- I’ll be lucky if I don’t get sick now drinking from an unwashed glass. For a nice hotel this is poor service. We recently had BRUNCH, which they’re doing 10-1pm every Saturday now I’m told. The crab benedict was out of this world and the breakfast potato’s were seasoned to perfection, with a light crisp. My wife had chicken and waffles with “Cajun honey”, also with breakfast potato’s.

She said the chicken and batter specifically was perfect and well seasoned. The waffle was far superior to most and seemed to have a better mix to begin with. Light golden brown. 👍🏼

I was so impressed, I asked the waitress to compliment the Chef and he was nice enough to come out and say hello. A real gentlemen, I can tell very experienced, that told me a little about the ingredients and friendly brief chat.

This restaurant, with Chef Ardolt, is a place to go for any meal and we’ll be back. The owner of this restaurant got lucky finding this Chef. They’re also doing live music for brunch during this 10-1pm Saturday slot. Nothing too loud, it was perfect.

If you read my review, I do hope you try it out, I have nothing to do with this place other than a guest two times and want them to do well, as it’s GREAT food and a plus for the area....

My family and I had breakfast at Tapron’s every morning while staying at the hotel. Our experience there on multiple occasions was consistently amazing.
