So the first post in a public forum. So we on the way to the Cape have been taking another half hour to stop for the last three times down. All have been memorable.
For me last time had a whole scamp fillet up then a whole Mingo and an yellow edge grouper cut and some white shrimp.
Shrimp was perfect very little if none to clean very sweet . Scamp was done perfect in butter but sisters sauce was a bit to lemony. Whole Mingo on the grill was just amazing. Like it better than red very sweet. Bones added flavor and were easy to clean However the yellow edge was just amazing in an easy saute. That was the best but all just awesome.
Having 18 boats makes a difference. Should have gotten your oysters from you. All of us hope the Appalachia bay can regenerate but the farm raised there are tasty but small and britle.
Never will buy tuna that is not fresh for sushi. The carbon monoxide pink looses all it texture and taste.
Looking forward to seeing you all again and trying the poor boy shack your building

That being said, this place deserves it in a couple ways: I went in last evening to get some sea scallops. Guy behind the counter was friendly enough. I asked for the price (it was not posted). I asked how much the lump crab meat was. He didn't know and asked his boss (who I have seen before) - he looked at me and thought for a second and said "about $40". I said I'd get a lb. No more than 45 seconds later a woman came in and asked for scallops ( just as I did). The manager/owner/in charge person was FIGHTING to help her. When I went to o cash out at the only register, he cashed her out before me. I didn't call him out or ask why. This market has just as good fish as about ten other markets in PC.
PS: I've learned that Tarpon Dock now owns Hunts Oyster Bar in St. Andrews. Guess I'm not going there...

I recently visited Tarpon Dock Seafood Market, and I can confidently say it’s the best places to get fresh seafood in Panama City Beach. The selection is fantastic—shrimps with head, oysters, snapper, grouper, swordfish—you name it, and it’s as fresh as it gets, often straight off the boats!
The staff, especially Jeremy and the lady were incredibly helpful and made sure we got exactly what we needed. Very patient and happily attended to our requests.
The prices are reasonable for the quality, and the service is always fast and friendly. Highly recommend if you’re a seafood lover or just want to bring home something fresh for dinner. Tarpon Dock truly delivers that local, authentic seafood market experience.
