This was my wife and mines second time here. Our first experience here was just as good as this time. We were greeted and offered to seat ourselves when we first walked in. Our server took our drink order promptly. She was very helpful when we were ordering our food. The atmosphere is a mix of your typical BBQ joint meets sports bar, but without the loud obnoxiousness of a sports bar. There were games playing on the tvs and music playing over the speakers, and the volume of the music was just right that my wife and I could have a conversation at normal speaking voices. This visit we each ordered the two meat combo and did both meats as ribs (equal to 1/2 rack). I had corn and chips for sides. The corn was delicious, the chips were the best bbq chips, and the ribs were cooked to perfection with a great smokey flavor. The bbq sauce was tasty, but the ribs were so good by themselves that I only dipped them a couple of times in the sauce just so I could try the sauce. I have to say that these are my favorite smoked ribs. The prices of the meals are very reasonable for what we got. 2 - two meat combos and two drinks (a beer and a mixed drink)w/ tip for under $60. We are 100% going to be back and we will bring others with us for them to enjoy the same wonderful dining...
Read moreI give this less stars overall because there were a few things I wanted to touch on. The food overall tasted and looked great. We came in with a party of 11 so we were thankful they could accommodate. When ordering the appetizer rolls that are their specialty are listed it shared 3 rolls. Do one gentleman ordered what he expected one spicy and one regular to what came out where 3 separate orders of each so we had alot of extras. That to us was just a little extra that a table with kids would have ordered 9 separate appetizers. The server should have clarified that. Food besides that was tasty and came out within a timely manner. Prices were not too bad, but considering 5 adults and 6 kids which most kids eating kids meals it really was excessive with all the added appetizers. So dividing out was over $20 a person. And if you ask me most kids can’t eat that amount of food. To which I should include adults just had waters. Lemonades were not included in kids meal prices either.
They had live music which was good and always help drown out the extra noise of children! They engaged with our kids and that was pleasant too.
I would go back but just pay more close attention to what...
Read moreFirst: Pricing beware. What is on the menu is NOT what they charge you. $9.99 onion rings turned into $10.29. The tip percentages are out of sequence, so 15% 25% 20% 30%. Whether this is on purpose or not is unclear.
Flavor-wise, the meat was great. Not overly smoky, but definitely smoky. Unfortunately, flavor is not the only consideration in a barbecue and the meat was quite dry. The brisket and chicken were both dry, although the chicken was still tender so perhaps this was just bad luck on our end. The pulled pork was decent enough.
The sides were unfortunate, the mac n cheese was rather plain which is alright, but the coleslaw was bland. It is a vinegar based coleslaw however it seemed more like a bag of coleslaw mix with a salad vinaigrette dressing poured over it, one that was heavy handed on the pepper too.
The appetizers we got were fantastic; The pork spring rolls were great. Amazing flavor and fantastic presentation. The onion rings seemed house-made; Regardless, they were delicious and not greasy or too salty.
The atmosphere is cool, I appreciated the Marshall guitar amp and the guitar with it. They have games for kiddos if that’s a...
