An Unforgettable Sushi Experience!

If you're looking for an authentic and absolutely delicious sushi experience in Las Vegas, look no further than Tekka Bar Sushi at The Cosmopolitan! This place is a true gem, offering a unique and incredibly fresh take on hand-rolled sushi that will leave your taste buds singing.

What makes Tekka Bar so special is the intimate, direct-from-chef experience. Everything is single hand-rolled right in front of you, from start to finish. Watching the skilled chefs craft each roll with such precision and care is part of the magic, and it guarantees an unparalleled level of freshness. And let me tell you, every single roll tastes SO good – the quality of the ingredients shines through in every bite. Each piece is a burst of flavor, perfectly balanced and incredibly satisfying.

It's a shared space with a cozy, communal feel, featuring only about 15-20 seats. This intimate setting adds to the charm, making you feel like you're part of something truly special. Be aware that because of its popularity and limited seating, especially on weekends or during busy seasons, you should expect a wait. But trust me, it is absolutely, 100% worth every minute you might spend waiting.

Tekka Bar isn't just a meal; it's an experience. Don't miss out on this fantastic spot for exceptional sushi in Las Vegas! Leah our waitress was incredible as well and was super helpful in giving us tips on...

An Unforgettable Sushi Experience at Tekka Bar: Handroll & Sake

Tekka Bar is hands down one of the best sushi spots I’ve ever experienced—and trust me, I consider myself a sushi connoisseur. During my recent five-day trip to Las Vegas, I ate there every single day, sometimes even twice a day. Yes, it’s that good.

Their handrolls are nothing short of perfection. The King Crab Roll features real, succulent crab legs, while the Blue Crab Roll combines fresh crab with a mouthwatering sauce that’s simply addictive. And don’t even get me started on their Yellowtail Roll—it’s melt-in-your-mouth delicious and an absolute must-try. Every bite was an explosion of freshness and flavor, and the quality of the fish is truly exceptional.

If you plan to visit, make sure to arrive right when they open at 11 AM because the line forms quickly—and for good reason. If waiting isn’t your thing, you can also order to-go and enjoy your meal nearby, which I did several times since I already knew my favorites.

The atmosphere is intimate, the service is efficient, and every roll is crafted with precision. I genuinely wish they would open a Tekka Bar in Houston so I could satisfy my cravings without hopping on a plane. If you’re in Vegas and love sushi, Tekka Bar is non-negotiable—it’s an absolute must-visit and one of the most memorable dining experiences you’ll have...

The food is excellent—absolutely superb! The servers are amazing as well, especially the Filipino guy, who was very friendly and accommodating. However, I can’t give this place more than one star because of the rude treatment we received from the so-called “manager.”

My friends and I arrived early and were waiting for the restaurant to open. A staff member initially told us it was fine to sit on the chairs while waiting. However, this manager approached us and, instead of politely explaining the rules, rudely told us to move to the line because sitting there wasn’t allowed. She didn’t just stop at that—she rolled her eyes as if we were inconveniencing her.

I’ve never been treated with such a lack of respect. It wouldn’t have been an issue if she had kindly explained the policy, but her dismissive attitude and poor manners were completely unprofessional. As a manager, she should lead by example and set the standard for excellent customer service.

To the management: please provide your staff, especially your “manager,” with customer service training. It’s not just about the food—it’s about the entire experience. And frankly, her behavior ruined what could have been a fantastic visit.

For others, while the food and most of the staff were wonderful, be prepared for a potentially unpleasant interaction if you happen to cross paths with...

Man, I’ve been sleeping on this place for a long time! As a local, I try to avoid the Strip as much as I possibly can. After I visited Tekka Bar for the first time this weekend, I might be willing to brave strip traffic at least once a week for this joint. We came in before a show at the Chelsea on a Friday night at 6:30 and the bar was full. We were asked to wait in line for the next available seats and waited no more than 5 minutes to get seated. Our server (she didn’t have a name tag) was very friendly and super attentive. She apologized multiple times for stuff that wasn’t really an issue, like us waiting in line for less than 5 minutes. We already knew what we wanted before we sat down so we ordered right away. I got the high roller and the wife got 3 individual hand rolls (yellowtail, bay scallops, and blue crab). To drink, I had the Junmai sake on tap. Everything here was excellent, from the service to the food, to the ambiance. I’ve been to a couple of other off-Strip handroll places and I have to say, this is the best one I have been to in Vegas so far. Also, it’s reasonably priced considering it’s on the Strip. That new place at the Sundry/Uncommons should take notes from this place.
