I have no idea how this place came on my radar, probably a Facebook group. I saw that they had a jam night on Thursday, so I decided to go. Piecing together a band for some fun, I needed to get more involved with other musicians. I usually hesitate because I don't drink and don't like hanging out at bars. ( I don't have an issue with it..I just don't want to be around drunks and be questioned by a drunk why I don't drink). But they served food, and all my other attempts to connect with other musicians failed.
So, I called, Spoke to a guy named PJ, He gave me the information I needed and I went. The place isn't in the greatest neighborhood..and i liked that. But, I felt safe and there was lighted parking and had alot of people in and out...so no parking lot rats. Bartender was nice, manager guy was nice. Friendly and genuine. Way cool. The house band was talented and my goodness, were there some greatly talented performers signed up. Some brought there whole band and gear. I was wondering how all that was going to work out..and it did. I decided not to sign up, glad I didn't, as a guitarist, i would have gone directly to the soundboard and that is too dry without any pedals for me. Next time I know what to do.
I ate a ribeye for like 20 something bucks and it was great. Baked potato was a little hard. But really..it's a bar with great food.
They had horns, singers, bass players, essentrics, and locals.
Bathroom was clean..if not crowded when I used it. And a group of guys hanging out being drunkish...made me say, time to go, as it was quickly becoming drunk o clock, and i wanted to not experience any negative.
Cant...
Read moreCame for battle of the bands on Wednesday night and we enjoyed the vibe of the place. We started the night off with a midori sour and Modelo, took a seat, then waited for the bands to come on. The midori and Modelo were great.
The waitress came by and asked if we wanted to order anything more and my husband ordered a budweiser and I asked for water. I saw other customers with cups of tap water and assumed this was what I was ordering.
The waitress took our card, charged it, then brought back two water bottles. I let her know that I wanted cups of water like the customers at the table in front of us had and she stated that "after the bands come on we don't give out water in cups." What does that even mean and what would the reason for this be?? I found this very odd and wished she would have either brought the bottles of water before taking our card or let us know it would be water bottles.
We ended up paying $3 per bottle of water that we will probably just end up taking home. It's not a huge deal obviously, but it's pretty annoying since I would have just went and got my water in the car if I knew we would be charged for water bottles instead of just being given tap like most bars do.
We were going to order food as well but decided against it after...
Read morewe went there and got drinks, shots but it's not worth it. Don't get me wrong the band was ok but it was too much. We all just left. We couldn't have a conversation because it was just to loud. It was basically empty. The owner forgot he sold water bottles and tried to not let my friend back in when she walk outside to get way from the noise. There's other places to go in Vegas.
Response: we were there to enjoy some live music, it wasn't our taste, but it wasn't the problem. The volume was. The waitress was awesome and the drinks were great. And the water bottle issue, though you may have apologized, you told her you didn't sell those in your bar and the waitress came out to you when she found out. And no one...
