I booked this hotel to attend a football coaches conference in a differing nearby hotel. This place seemed to have decent reviews, so I pulled the trigger on this seemingly cheap financial transaction. We checked in on Thursday. The room looked much older and rundown than what we saw online, but it didn't look terrible. One thing we realized very quickly was the bathroom did not have ventilation fans and the bathroom windows had been secured shut with screws. I guess on the bright side, if anyone in your group destroys the bathroom, everyone gets to experience it!!! Saturday morning, I was trying to use the single serve Kuerig machine. After I added the water and plugged it in, I could tell the water was heating, so I tried to push the start button, but nothing happened. I repeatedly pushed the button with no change, until the water got so hot in the machine, it popped the cap off the filler compartment and boiling water hit me in the face. I ran to the bathroom and poured cold water on my self. After, I tried to call the front desk, but that is when I discovered the landline phone did not work. I reported both the Kuerig and the non-working phone in person, which they said they would send someone straightaway. Saturday evening, we stayed in since we had to get up early Sunday morning to drive home. At 12:30am, a hotel security guard pounded on our door. When I answered, he asked if the kids in the room next to our room were ours. I told him no. At 1:30am, someone else pounded on our door, arising me again from my slumber. I looked outside and saw about a 12 year old male child. Apparently, he was one of the kids the security guard was enquiring about earlier. He thought our room was his and he tried to come in when I cracked the door. I told him to get lost. At this point, my adrenaline was going and I knew it would take a while to fall asleep. I was laying in bed wondering what had convinced me to book such an establishment for my family. At approximately 2:30am, I heard two gunshots ring into the night air. Their proximity testified to me the propinquitous nature of their origin. After a very brief pause, 4 more gunshots rang into the night. I ran to the phone to call the front desk; to call the police or to call anyone to whisk away the perpetrators of this barbaric act. But, alas, the phone had not been fixed. I walked with my family to our automobile to begin the loading of the storage compartments for our voyage home. I saw, tied to the bush directly in front of our vehicle a 3 foot section of police tape. The enormity of the understanding that our vehicle was so close to a potential crime scene was unsettling, to say the least. But remembering those six gunshots, like 6 cracks of thunder in the desert, night air, I thought that this was where those auditory barbaric yawps had originated. I went to report the previous nights events to the members of the staff. I informed him of the 3 separate yet seemingly and eternally connected events. When I responded of the magnitude of my displeasure of the events to the staff member, his co-worker standing behind him interjected unsolicitedly that they were merely "bullet fragments." I will never recommend to family, friends and even foes that they grace this establishment with the honor of their patronage. I know I never...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Alexis Park Resort, and I felt compelled to share my remarkable experience with your team. Their dedication, professionalism, and genuine warmth transformed my stay into a truly memorable one. Let me start by commending Jasmine, who went above and beyond from the moment I arrived. Jasmine welcomed me with a radiant smile that instantly made me feel at home. Her competence and confidence in her role were evident as she swiftly handled an issue with my room size and cleanliness. She didn’t just fix the problem; she made me feel “whole” again, restoring my comfort and peace of mind. Jasmine has a remarkable ability to blend leadership with a personal touch, creating an environment where guests feel valued and respected. It’s rare to encounter someone who exudes such a natural sense of hospitality, and it was a joy to interact with her. Lars also made a fantastic impression. I faced a few mishaps with my room key—both demagnetizing it and even locking it inside my room at one point! Lars’s response was patient, prompt, and above all, reassuring. He was always there with a calm demeanor and quick action, turning a potentially frustrating situation into a smooth experience. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure my security was invaluable. It was clear he truly cares about the guest experience, and I felt incredibly well taken care of. The Housekeeping Team deserves high praise as well. When I noticed that certain areas in the room needed additional attention, I placed a quick request, and their response was swift and thorough. Within no time, they arrived, addressing my concerns and leaving the room spotless. Their attentiveness and professionalism truly impressed me and added to the overall comfort and quality of my stay. They exemplify the dedication to service that defines your entire team. I also want to acknowledge Sandra, Jasmine, and Will, who I could see are a team that leads by example, setting a high standard for guest care. Sandra, in particular, handled my checkout seamlessly and even stored my bags until my flight later that day—a gesture that made all the difference in my travel plans. Aryanna was a wonderful presence each day, greeting guests with a smile that brightened the lobby and set the tone for every morning and evening. Together, your team exemplifies a FIVE-STAR level of hospitality that truly distinguishes Alexis Park Resort. Their warmth, attentiveness, and proactive service made my stay unforgettable. While the initial room I was assigned didn’t quite meet my expectations in size and cleanliness, I appreciated the spacious upgrade to a suite. There were minor issues with the suite, such as a refrigerator needing extra cleaning and a toilet with intermittent low water pressure. Additionally, having the nearest pool to my room closed was a minor inconvenience, as I had to go to the other end of the property to access the open pool. In summary: • Staff: 5 stars – Stellar service and professionalism • Initial Room: 2.5 stars – Room for improvement • Upgraded Suite: 4.5 stars – Comfortable with minor maintenance concerns Thank you once again for the incredible experience with your remarkable staff. Their dedication is a testament to the exceptional service Alexis Park Resort provides, and I look forward...
Read moreI travel several times a year to Vegas for business, and I hate staying on the strip and walking 3 miles through a casino to get to a room. This hotel doesn't have a casino that you have to inhale cigarette smoke during those 3 miles, you don't have to pay $18 a day to park and then walk another mile from the parking lot to your room. Parking is free and it's very close and convenient. The rooms are huge, clean and pretty comfortable. They have a refrigerator and a microwave and free coffee and tea which is really nice. It's also a mile and a half from the convention center so it's pretty convenient to that as well.
All the good things aside, the last time I was there was not a good stay. It's definitely an older building, and I took a barely lukewarm shower on the first day I was there. I called them and they said that they would repair it. At 11 PM I figured I would just check to see if they did, and they changed something because the water was coming out of the faucet at all ! I called management, and they said oh we can move you to another room, no talks of upgrades nobody said they were sorry, and once you get things spread out when you're staying for several days it's pain in the butt to pack it all up and move it. From the room to the front desk is actually a drivable distance, I asked them to bring me a new card and they said no, so I had to walk all the way up there, actually did drive got the key and talked to the manager again and again nobody said they were sorry, didn't offer for any compensation until I asked and he said he would waive the wonderful resort fee. When I got my bill, they only waived one day of $39 when they said they would do the whole thing so I had to fight them on that, finally they did but not once did anybody apologize or say we're really sorry next time when you come we will do this Upgrade you to another room, nothing.
The other downside to this is it is pretty close to the airport, like most hotels on the strip are, but this one seems like it's at the end of a runway and at 6 AM there is a plane taking off every three minutes, good luck sleeping past That time.
There's a reason why it is inexpensive, if you can tolerate airplanes at 6 AM and hope that you get a hot shower, understanding that I've stayed there several times and that's the first time that happened. But they just didn't seem to really care whether I came back or not . I've got a tradeshow coming up in January and through that event I booked at the cheap Excalibur hotel, but it includes a shuttle to the convention center so I still may have to walk a while but I have free transportation to and from the event and hopefully it'll be quieter in...
