Rude waitress and subpar food. To start the bartender told us they would have a waiter with us shortly.. 45 minutes later a waitress came to take our order. It was not that busy. She had walked by our table multiple times without acknowledging us.
I ordered my drink and my fiancé began to order his when SHE PUT HER FINGER IN HIS FACE and said “YOU NEED TO STOP” so she could jot down “margarita”. She then allowed him to place his order. We had 4 other people with us so it took a few minutes just to get the drink order in. Once drinks were served we ordered food. This was another 10 minute ordeal just to order 2 burgers (no tomatoes), 2 fries, a cheese board, and a flat bread. The burgers came out with tomatoes and she said the kitchen made the mistake and did not offer to replace them. My fiancé is allergic to tomatoes and could not eat his burger. The flat bread took 50 minutes to come out, we had another round of drinks just waiting for our food. The waitress once again blamed the kitchen. My fiancé asked for ranch for the fries…. The ranch never came.
My fiancé apologized if we were asking a lot from her to which she replied “YOU ARE THE WORST.” She laughed and walked away. Based on the service, she was not being funny.
The waitress tops it off by adding an additional $15 dollar tip for herself on top of the tip we already gave her. This was discovered today while I was checking my card balance. SHE GAVE HERSELF A TIP ON TOP OF THE TIP WE GAVE HER !!!
I am waiting to here from the manager of Vice Versa. Customers beware of shady tricks...
Read moreMy family and I have done a staycation at the Vdara a few times now and during those times, we have never eaten or drank at Vice Versa, until recently. Well, we didn't go all out and created a buffet or anything, but did manage to get some fresh fruits and a couple of muffins for breakfast. Additionally, we opted for a couple of coffees here versus purchasing overpriced ones at that one infamous, popular coffee chain located every 10 feet in every major city. Needless to say, our mini breakfast was outstanding.
Unfortunately, that was basically the extent of our experience at this patio lounge. I suspect that down the road, we'll make another trip to this area (whether for another staycation or just passing by), and actually sit in the lounge area to have a bigger meal and actually order some adult beverages. When that occurs, I'll be sure to update this review accordingly. For now, based on the food, coffee, and customer service that we experienced in the late morning of 26 Feb 2024, I highly recommend this place...
Read moreWe were walking back to our hotel and decided to stop by the Vdara on a whim to check it out. We saw this bar and decided to check it out as I was in the mood for a for a cocktail. The bartender Terry helped us and was absolutely fabulous. I asked him if he knew how to make a Vesper, (the original James Bond drink from Casino Royale) and of course he did. He made one for me and it was great.
For my next drink I asked him for something similar and he suggested the Aviator. Again the drink was amazing. Citrusy but sweet and easy to drink. I was having such a good time with the drinks that Terry was making that I decided to try one more. For this one he suggested the Blood and Sands. A great Scotch cocktail with a nice orange flavor. Another great drink from Terry.
We had a great time with Terry and I would recommend this bar to anyone looking for a nice low-key spot for a great cocktail without all the hustle and bustle...
