Updated April 2025 I feel like a broken record… we love Yardbird in the Venetian Hotel, so make it a point to come here every time we are in Las Vegas. It says something about the restaurant that every time we visit, we get the same quality and quantity of food. We started off with the delicious Fried Green Tomatoes and Traditional Deviled Eggs. No salads, as we have learned, are enough to share for a table of 4 (and there were only 2 of us). Entrée of the Chicken and Waffles, with that amazing bourbon syrup and hot honey sauce (shared between the 2 of us). So much great food, we couldn’t face dessert this time, however as indicated on reservation, we celebrated a birthday, which was recognized by the server with a small, sweet treat.
Overall, this is a great place to meet for drinks and food with friends and would never hesitate to return.
Tips for your visit: Make reservations, Yardbird is always busy! Ask your server about portion sizes to share.
Update July 4 As usual our trips to Las Vegas would not be complete without our visit to the Yardbird, and as each time prior a wonderful experience. Actually, had reservations through Open Table to sit in the dining room, but changed plans and opted to just sit at the bar for a quick lunch. Bar is a first come basis, so grab a seat when you can, which we did during a very busy lunch service that had an hour long wait with no reservations.
Service at the bar was fast and efficient by the bartenders, and nothing suffered between bar or table service. As normal, the fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, and chicken and waffles were consistently perfect over time (prior reviews). Sitting at the bar was a much more casual event, but still very enjoyable.
Will be seeing you again at our next visit.
Tips for your visit – use Open Table for reservations for the table service for both lunch or dinner, as this restaurant is always busy. Update: Sept 16, 2021 As normal, we always consider a dinner visit to the Yardbird when we are at the Venetian hotel. As year over year they have provided us wonderful service and consistent great food. This visit is no different, and had a nice dinner using Open Table for our reservations.
They proved again why we choose to visit them each time, but learning from past visits, skipped the appetizers, and went right for the entrees and dessert. Dinner of Fried Green tomatoes, Old Skool Fried Chicken dinner, followed with the Key Lime Pie dessert. Entrees as good as ever, especially with the Hot Honey (Chicken) and the Bourbon Maple Syrup (Waffles). Tried a new dessert of the Key Lime Pie, which was very good too, and a great dessert to share. As all other visits the food was prepared and delivered in a timely manner.
Note: Yardbird staff appeared to be following the required guidelines for COVID protocols, however has reduce the distancing between tables which are about 3’ apart.
Hints for your visit: Make reservations! Request dining room seating in the middle section if you want a bit more distance between neighboring tables.
Updated: July 5, 2020 Annual visit to the Yardbird, and as normal was a wonderful experience. We visited Yardbird during July 2020, and found the restaurant has implemented all the necessary precautions for the COVID19 regulations. The staff all were well prepared including the spacing of the tables.
Food was excellent as normal, along with the service being top-notch. Please see previous reviews confirming one of the best service and food at the Venetian/Palazzo venues.
Hints for your visit (during COVID19) – use Open Table for reservations and request seating in the dining room as table are spaced out very well. Make sure you indicated any special occasions on our reservations, as Yardbird staff as never failed to recognize our...

We entered and were ahead of schedule for our 7:30 reservation, about an hour early, and we were seated almost immediately at a perfect high-top table in the back. We could see the whole dining room. Our server came over, greeted us warmly, and said, “Sharing is caring. Take your time to review the menu.” That’s exactly what we did, slowly reviewed the whole menu. When he returned, we were ready to order our drinks. I ended up going with an Atomic Duck IPA beer from Able Baker Brewing, while Wifey went with the strawberry lemonade. She also added an order of deviled eggs (minus the trout roe on top). The dining room was buzzing with lots of talking and activity, but we could still hear each other while talking. I also noticed everything looked super clean. We continued to review the menu to choose our entrées from all the good options. Wifey really wanted the Lobster Mac & Cheese but decided against it because of the steep price tag of $88, and we were sure it would be a huge portion. Since we were out of town and couldn’t take any leftovers, she went with the Shrimp and Grits instead. I ordered Lewellyn's Fine Fried Chicken with a side of Collard Greens. Our server was very personable and worked well with us. The deviled egg appetizer came out pretty quickly. Wifey was raving over them and encouraged me to take a bite. I tasted half of a deviled egg with some kind of special hot sauce on it, and it didn’t taste or smell “eggy”, it was delicious. I don’t even like deviled eggs, but these were great. Our main dishes came out soon after, and we started digging in. My fried chicken was seasoned well, and the meat was juicy. The collard greens needed a little something, maybe a little vinegar(always my preference), a little more seasoning, and a bit more cooking time to become more tender, but overall, my food was very, very good. Wifey commented that the shrimps in her dish were a nice size, very fresh, and she loved it. I saw a cornbread skillet go to another table, and it also looked delicious. I’ll have to order that the next time we visit. There was a little delay in wrapping up the check; we had to find our server to close it out, but it didn’t spoil our overall experience. He was very apologetic about the slow pickup and closed out things quickly. I’ve had this place on my list for a while, but for whatever reason, I never made it here. Well, it has quickly become one of our new...
Read moreI wanted to take my family out to lunch. After scouring the map for places to eat, Yardbird was consistently at the top of each search. So I decided to make a reservation.
I can see why Yardbird is at the top. The food is delicious! We started off with biscuits and the fried green tomato blt. The blt, which is a starter, had the fried green tomato as the base. It was the highlight of the meal. The tomatoes were fried to perfection and went well with the crispy bacon. The sauce gave some balance with the acidity. The blt was more like an amuse bouche, but I wish there was more of it! The biscuits were warm and soaked up the cream and jam. Very comforting!
I ordered the eggs Benedict and it was yummy! What sets it apart is that it's on a biscuit instead of an English muffin, so it was decadent. The hash browns were thick, kind of like a hunkier latke. And the eggs were poached perfectly. I think what would make it even better is if you have the option to substitute the ham for fried chicken. That would really be delicious!
I also got a bourbon blueberry lemonade and it hit the spot on such a hot day in Vegas.
We also got a side of mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. The mac and cheese was savory. The pasta was al dente and I loved the breadcrumbs for more texture. The sprouts were nicely charred and had a slight sweetness from the honey.
My family's entrees were the cheeseburger, the fried chicken, and avocado toast. My mom is on a restrictive diet and she was so happy about the toast. She felt it was made just for her. The fried chicken was amazing - crunchy skin with tender meat. I didn't try the burger because I don't eat beef, but my sister-in-law finished it and said it was yummy.
Service was great! Our server was very nice and we got our food pretty quickly. We got a nice corner table so we were able to hear each other. It's pretty loud there. And also very dark. I couldn't take good pics of the food because of it.
I wish the directions to this restaurant was more clear. It's on the casino level in Restaurant Row, which was not specified on their website or in the confirmation email. We ended up in the shopping area because that's what it looked like on the map. So when you enter the Venetian, head down to the casino floor.
We were too stuffed for dessert, but I would love to come back and try other items...
