We had a really bad experience here. Never expected to feel discrimination or racism from the staff here, especially in a city like Vegas. We were staying at The Palazzo and just came in and checked in and we were very hungry after the long drive and this place was convenient. Being kind and courteous was no-where in the dictionary for some of the waiters at this place. Ended up leaving this place starving and humiliated.
We asked the waiter for a table, and she said there is about 40 mins wait time, if not the corner bar seats are open and feel free to sit at any open area. We looked around and found a spot. The people sitting nearby even offered another bar stool since there was only one. Some part of the table was not cleaned, we waited for a few minutes to see if someone can clear everything up. No one came, the lady that was serving the people next to us came by but she pretended like we were not even there even after giving us eye contact. I asked her for menus and she said “sorry I don’t have any with me now, you can go ask front desk.” Then she partially cleared some things of the table and we sat there since we were super tired. That should have been a clear sign for us to know that they did not like us there. Well let’s just say, it didn’t hit us then. The people sitting next to us offered their menus and we felt a relief. We waited for another 10 more mins, the same lady came by to settle the bill next to us. She kept giving us eye contact, and we thought she will take the order but again ignored us and walked away. After abt another 5 mins I saw a lady walking around a tray with water. I asked her if I can have some water and she offered me some. She asked me if anyone came by and we said no, to which she replied “alright, let me ask them to clear out the rest of the table as well for you, sorry that this is taking long.” To which we said “No worries, thank you so much.” We waited there again for another 10-15more mins and another lady walked by to take the order of another set pf couples who came after us. They probably sat there for 5 mins and they were GIVEN the menus. We told her that we have been waiting for so long and no one has taken our order yet. To which she responded with a loud voice “ well it is common restaurant etiquette that you sit at tables that are completely cleared out only, shouldn’t be something that we need to teach you.” I was honestly flabbergasted and angry and humiliated. I can’t say all the staff at this place would act the same way. But let me just put this out there, we waited to sit on the table for about 5-6 mins and it wasn’t until the 1st woman came by and she saw us just coming in moving stool and waiting to sit. We even asked her for menus but her bland reply itself sounded harsh. And then this woman had the guts to come and yell at us about etiquette. The correct etiquette at restaurants would be to clear things out at first go, especially at bar tables. The correct etiquette would be to offer their customers their menus. Correct etiquette would be to communicate effectively instead of giving us eye contact. The correct etiquette is to SERVE YOUR CUSTOMERS WITHOUT JUDGEMENT OF RACE OR BACKGROUND. I have been at so many restaurants across different states in this country, and yes we have been given stares at certain parts of this country.
However this is probably the first time I ever had to walk out from a restaurant in this country feeling utterly humiliated...
Read morePlease read the review! I came here because I was craving a quality burger with some bite to it. Though In N Out is my fav, I didn’t think it would do. This place had a pretty good rating and reviews so I came. I had trouble finding it. Somewhere online it should say it’s INSIDE The Venetian. Anyway, I finally found it. The hosts said there was a wait of 1.25 hours if I wanted a table but I could sit near the bar/open area seating and be served much faster. So I did. I quickly noticed that I was the only person of color there besides the one host behind the front counter. The server was VERY busy. However I watched him attentively serve the patrons sitting in my area. He came to the patrons sitting next to me, didn’t acknowledge me. So I waited to see how many times he’d do it. He did that, THREE MORE TIMES. I had been sitting there over 20 minutes at this point without so much as a water. So I finally decide to go to the front and ask the host who is supposed to be serving that area. He approaches as I’m asking and says, “I didn’t know you wanted to eat because you were on your phone.” As if that makes any sense. 🙄 Why would I be in a restaurant if I didn’t intend to eat? Then he finally comes over and takes my order, hastily. I didn’t even have time to tell him how I wanted my bacon cooked so I had to get up AGAIN, to let him know. While I’m waiting a woman and what appeared to be her niece came and sat next to me. Despite the fact it’s still really busy, he seems to have ample time to take their order, make recommendations for their selections, and listen to a funny story. Someone else delivered my burger. He didn’t come back for almost 10 minutes to ask me if I needed anything additional. It was clear to me that I was NOT receiving the same service as everyone else. The quality of service warranted no tip. But I still left him $2 just to let him know that I AM a good customer despite your prejudice service. I order The Wagyu Steakhouse burger which was absolutely DELICIOUS. It was kind of a dry burger so I got bbq sauce to put on it. I also ordered one of its Crazy Shakes called The Brooklyn Blackout but I used Oreo Cookie ice cream as the base. I would probably order the Oreo shake and get brownies as the topper next time. My take away, great food but terrible service if you’re melanated. Take the food to go if...
Read moreIt was a mission to find this place. At first it looks like any other random bar. Then you notice the name. We were seated in the back behind the dessert bar. No view out the window either. Music was ridiculously bad and loud to the point were we couldn’t hear each other even though we were sitting next to one another.
The waiter was awesome patient, even though he could barely hear us too. Would regularly check on us if we needed anything or wanted anything else our food took about 15-20mins to make and brought to us. (Wasn’t rushing us out) let us finish eating completely before asking if we were ready to order anything for dessert.
We had Crispy chicken sandwich, 20$ Crispy chicken sandwich with very flavorful the sauce really compliments the chicken. Could go without the coleslaw.
chicken Caesar salad, 20$ The chicken was delicious made just right. The four pieces of roasted tomato, flavorless and pointless. The ranch but it comes with taste absolutely weird nothing I’d ever expect to come with a Caesar salad.
Mexico City burger, 20$ Onion rings, had a weird taste to them
Black truffle burger, 23.50$ Pretty flavorful I think the truffle sauce could be a little more stronger,it’s not so rich in flavor. The lettuce leaves are just ridiculously ginormous. I could’ve made it into a lettuce wrap burger. Do not eat the pickles. Side of Cheese fries a little to much of sour cream it over powered the cheese and bacon bits.
Cookies and cream supreme milkshake, 16.50$ Perfect amount of Oreo cookies to vanilla ice cream I think they should redesign it. not just a bunch of whipped cream and cookie crumbs to make it look big. Like adding a whole cookie here and there. The ice cream sandwich with subpar.
Strawberry shortcake milkshake, 17$ Ridiculously sweet for strawberry shortcake Immediately reminds me of Hershey strawberry sauce with vanilla ice cream pie crust crumbs. Strawberry flavor lollipop with a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar.
(2) Extra cherries 1$ I don’t remember how much it was for 3...
