Jerk Shack Grill — Restaurant in Paramus

I work in the mall, so I often walk by and eat at this establishment. So believe me when I’d suggest everyone to disregard any negative comments of this location. The menu consists of Jamaican - BBQ Grill - Soul Food style, so if this isn’t your cup of tea then maybe try something different before bashing the food. Everything it’s actually very well cooked and seasoned, I particularly don’t eat certain things on their menu but that’s because I just don’t; doesn’t mean “their food is bad”. Try the beef patties, won’t let you down. As far as customer service goes, since they opened I’ve noticed nothing but positive things. I don’t know who is who and what their roles are, but there’s always someone welcoming you inside even if you’re just walking by, shows you what’s on the menu, interacts with you and makes you feel good, you know, just how those local family owned restaurants use to be. They start conversation, compliment you, give you suggestions on the food, have comfortable seating, have a great attitude and give a pleasant vibe overall.

My first time ordering from here and definitely my last. There was no line (which should have been a hint) but the thought of some good Jamaican food made me do it. I ordered pork because the chicken was literally all bones (and the guy was about to serve me a plate of chicken bones) I calculated what I was going to pay from the prices on the menu and when I received my total, it was a little more than what I had added up. So, I asked the guy if he had made a mistake and he said to me " the price are different than what it says on the menu"... he had to turn the monitor around to show me what I paid because he could not give me a receipt! like...wt..are you for real?!?! He then proceeded to say that he has told the owner to change it, but that he doesnt listen... Like I said, it wasnt much of a difference, but it's sneaky and misleading. Worse of all... the food was terrible!!! No flavor whatsoever and the beef patties were burnt! The portion size is ridiculously small. Don't waste...

Never order for this place. They will give u old food. I order off uber eats and asked for jerk oxtail, yellow rice, and Mac and cheese. They didn't give me the yellow rice and the Mac and cheese don't have any taste and the sauce and the oxtail tastes like it was made days ago and it's going bad. I called the place and asked when was the oxtail made and that it have an off taste and they never once offered to fix it. I talked to someone who claim they were the owner and he kept saying it's a number 1 seller and nobody else had a problem with it and he not giving no refunds because it's the number 1 seller( never asked for a refund just wanted them to fix it) and then kept talking to me unprofessional and sounded cocky. Then he started counting saying there 1 2 3 4 then he stop at 8 people waiting to place an order in line. And I told him the way he acting is going to make him lose customers. He didn't even care my food wasn't fresh and started laughing. Save ur money and go...
