TOTAL RIPOFF!!
WORST MACDONALD'S EVER!!
WAY OVERPRICED!!
DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR!!
I stopped in for just a large fries and a soda. I know the drink was $1 but when the cashier said the total was $5.24, I asked how much for the fries?
She said, $4.91. I said $4.91? She said, yes, that's how much they've been for a while. Then when the order came, I noticed it was small, in one of those white paper bags which a small or medium fries comes in. I said, is this a large order of fries? She said yes!! I said, that for $4.91? I want my money back!!
All MacDonald's are suppose to be standardized. No matter what MacDonald's you go to, anywhere in the World, everything is the same but not here. I've never seen a large order of fries in one of those small paper bags. They ALWAYS come in a large red cardboard container.
So, not only do you get a small order of fries, which they call a large, they overcharge you to boot!!
After getting my refund, I just walked out with my Coke. And the Coke had a very funny aftertaste, as if it was a cheaper clone from the supermarket!! It probably was!!
When getting into my car, I looked at the receipt and although the cashier told me the fries were $4.91, that was the subtotal for the fries and Coke together, not the fries by themselves. The girl obviously wasn't too bright.
The fries were $3.91 + .26 tax for a total of $4.17. Still, way too much for a large MacDonald's fries which was no bigger than a medium.
I ended up going just a very short distance North on Rt. 17 to the MacDonald's at 846 Rt.17 N to get a "real" large order of fries and it was a normal standardized large size in a red cardboard container for a reasonable price of just $2.87. And their Coke was a normal tasting Coke too!!

Read moreThere's something about the McDonald's on Route 17 in Paramus, NJ, that has a magnetic pull, especially during those late-night drives home. This has become my usual pit stop around 3-4 am on Saturday mornings, thanks to its convenient 24-hour drive-through service. A perfect excuse for a quick snack to tide me over for the remaining 40 minutes of my journey.
Accessibility is a breeze, making it all too easy to swing by for a bite. The food, well, it's a roulette wheel - sometimes it's surprisingly good, and other times, you find yourself questioning the semi-frozen state of the chicken. But hey, what can one expect from a McDonald's at such ungodly hours?
I've never ventured inside, so I can't comment on the cleanliness of the place, but I've had my share of pickle-related disappointments. Despite my clear 'just ketchup' requests, those sneaky pickles find their way into my order, leaving their trace of pickle juice in the ketchup. It's not just about removing the pickle; it's about that lingering taste - a pickle lover's dream but my personal nightmare.
As for the service speed, I'm usually lost on X while waiting with my foot on the brake, so time becomes a relative concept. However, the real draw of this place, despite the occasional letdowns, is its undeniable allure. Like a siren's call, those golden arches beckon, and I find myself salivating like Pavlov's dog, drawn to what I know is not the best choice for me.
In conclusion, this McDonald's is your typical port in a storm when you need that quick fix of meat and fries. If you're looking for a no-frills, drive-through experience in the wee hours, this is your spot. But if you're craving something more, perhaps consider another destination, like Wawa - though that would require actually getting out...
Read moreCorporate needs to step in and shut this place down or take over. we all know McDonald's is fast food it is what it is .But I have gone to almost all of them. throughout New Jersey and I live locally here in town for years. This place has been the worst McDonald's giving you outdated apple pies french fries that aren't cooked and burgers that taste like rubber. Every few months I give it another try and it's just another disappointment. Can't wait to Chick-fil-A opens up the road hopefully put this place out of business you get fresh cut fries they're not even for $4.00 dollars were here they get $4.50 for frozen fries. as with any other business this all comes down to the owner and management because there are a few good fast food restaurants Burger King's Wendy's and even McDonald's where the food looks like the picture the food actually is not bad. It's pretty good this place doesn't put policy in place for workers to make the food properly make sure the french fries are cooked. The apple pies aren't dated check order before it goes out through the window that is 100% management fault and they deserve to go out of business. .
Shame on this McDonald's once again, one of the (worst ones in...
