I have purchased quite a few items from DWR over the years however there is one purchase that has given me problems and has continued for some time. It has continued for some time for a number of reasons, I dont have the time to chase it down, I could put up with the faulty high stool for a period of time but now the fault has only deteriorated further. I visited the store and they told me I need to deal with customer service. So armed with the email address and phone number I have contacted customer service 3 or 4 times in the past covid year. I will give them some break because its covid however I get the same email that they will get back to me but no one EVER does. The store does not want to deal with the problem because it has no commission for any sales person to handle a faulty stool. Basically I bought 6 Lem Piston Stools. One Piston does not hold the weight of a person ...never did and slowly drops. I figured I could live with it but the speed it drops is only increasing. I first reported this to the store and to their customer service over two years ago and 3 or 4 times this year. As I said I never got a reply other than that they will get back to me and gave me a case number. I still have the emails and the case numbers but very disappointed with this particular item and their customer service in rectifying it. Oh yeah the last time I was at the store they said it was not out of warranty.......so buyers beware even a supposedly high end store will not stand to the quality of their product. If it was something I broke then of course no problem no warranty but this is a stool piston ....you would think they would last for years and years .....the stools are barley used.....

Kiana has been my main design specialist, and she’s provided what I’d honestly call concierge-level service.She took the time to put together colors, layouts, and combinations that made sure everything tied together perfectly. She went above and beyond to make sure each piece worked with the rest of the space. I really appreciated that she wasn’t afraid to share her honest opinions — she helped me make smarter design choices and made the whole process so much easier (and more fun).
Stephanie, Laura, and Sarah have also been amazing — always kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. The entire Paramus team is so professional and genuinely dedicated to making sure you’re happy with both the products and the overall experience.
They even worked directly with the delivery company to schedule around my availability, and everything arrived right on time. The ETAs were impressively accurate, and on the rare occasion a delay was needed, they let me know ahead of time so there were no surprises. When I had to return a couple of pieces that didn’t quite fit, the team made the process smooth and simple (there’s a standard 10% return fee, which makes sense given the logistics; be sure to check the fine print).
I’ve also tried working with other design companies like Arhaus and a few others, but the experience wasn’t even close to the level of care, attention, and professionalism that DWR provided.
If you love mid-century modern design, DWR is absolutely the place for you. Beyond the beautiful pieces, it’s the Paramus team’s kindness, taste, and dedication that make all the difference. Couldn’t recommend this team more!

Read moreDesign within reach is a reallyunique place to get furniture for your house when you don't want something someone else has. And while the furniture is not cheap by any standard I won't hold that against them as you might have more money than me. Lol
Walking around the gallery I saw many pieces that I would love to have in my house.as recommended by the sales woman I actually tried out some of the chairs and found them to be amazingly comfortable! She even recommended looking at a taller chair as my height would be better suited in a chair that supported my tall stature better.
We found out that this place is actually been here for 3 years much to our surprise. Now that Uniqlo is unfortunately gone, it seems to have opened up the view to this store.
So if you have a few bucks to spend for a some unique pieces then check this...
