1/2/2020. We were just finishing up our burgers & fries and a lady from behind the counter just ruined our meal time by shouting across the hall that their dining is “closed”. It was still around 6pm that time and we knew well ahead based on their website that they close at 10 and dine in was allowed, maybe the website is not updated. I don’t know if what she meant was that they’re closing that early or whatever. But we checked their website first before deciding to go here coz “dine in” was ok & so it was until that lady shouted at us before we even finished eating. That was RUDE. She could’ve just approached us and told us in a softer tone what she just shouted at us from across the hall. The lady cashier didn’t remind us that that dining was closed and we were at our table waiting for our order without being told that eating in was not allowed. I understand that some establishments didn’t offer dine in due to this pandemic but that’s why we decided to go to 5 guys coz it says on the website that they allow it. There were some people waiting for their orders and I was a little embarrased for my family thinking that we may not have been following their pandemic “rules” on this specific store. We simply packed our stuff, cleaned the the table and walked away. The food and all was fine except for that thing with lady. I just woke up this morning realizing that I should’ve clarified what she said and approached the counter in a little bit of a confrontational way, but I didn’t want to cause any commotion at that time since my teenagers were there, but I could’ve I just simply didn’t. Sad & bad experience for us. But, in a good note, the place was tidy and food...
Read moreBurgers are very pricey, that's for sure. I went for first time cuz they had limited sit down dining, something hard to find in my area. I had a bacon double cheeseburger with their home cut fries, & BBQ sauce on the side. Burger was quite large with the lettuce, tomato & grilled onions I ordered on it. My only complaint on the order is they pack everything in a paper bag even dining in, and won't give you a tray to lay out food on. The fries were tasty but many spilled out all over inside the bag with ketchup packs so you couldn't eat them... as contaminated. The burger meat was char broiled so had good flavor. Ended up costing us $26 for two of same cheeseburger, one regular fries & one regular soda. Would of been at least $30 if we'd both had fries & a drink. I would say I'd only return as long as Steak & Shake has no indoor seating & when a craving for a bacon double cheeseburger overtakes me ...but will resist as long as possible until Five Guys comes down on their seriously...
Read moreThere was an incident with my daughter’s best friend at this location last night. The staff was absolutely amazing with him. They had him stay in the restaurant after it had closed to keep him safe since he’s a minor, they gave him a meal, there was a staff member who even gave him her name and number in case he ever needs anything. They went above and beyond for a kid they didn’t know. I can’t thank the staff that was there with him and I hope they get some sort of recognition because they went above and beyond for a kid that they didn’t know anything about. It was truly heartwarming to see people not see anything but a kid who needed help and they stepped up to the plate and then some ❤️
