8/21/25 - We called ahead to see if they could seat us and they did have a table available. It seems it is better though to reserve ahead. Our server was okay. She came maybe 4 times and then others instead had to help us, like refilling our water, asking for boxes, and getting the bill. The crowd did end up picking up though which is why I think our service slowed down. It seemed we were bothering others when asking for a box/the check as well. When the guy gave us the check he kind of just threw it on the table, didn't even say anything when putting it on the table and walked away. We came from out of town and I get really bad travel anxiety so I didn't have much of an appetite. My plate basically looked full. I felt the same guy that gave us the check kept giving me a death stare with my plate so full. The guy that brought our food out was the friendliest out of everyone.
The atmosphere is really nice though (besides feeling like we were annoying the employees) and love the aesthetic. When going to the bathroom you kind of walk into the prep area/kitchen and was kind of cool to feel apart of the kitchen.
The food was pretty good. My husband got the Chicken parm and ate his whole plate. My dad got a special they had with pork ribs I believe. The waitress stated they have the best pork ribs. My dad liked it but mention it was a little dry. I got the chicken strips with balsamic vinaigrette with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. The flavoring was really nice on the chicken. I also got the cauliflower soup that kind of remind me of tomato bisque with veggies in it. They also bought a whole loaf of bread prior to food which was delicious.
Overall was pretty good but wish service was...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with the experience I had there last night. I called ahead of time to make a reservation for two. I arrived there, was told my name was not on the list. Then, was told I’d have to wait for a table, when someone on the phone had said I’d be able to get a high top table if I wanted to. We waited for what seemed a while, and finally were resigned to sitting at a high top, only for that to be given to a couple who came in after us. After continuing to wait, I finally asked if we could sit at the almost empty bar. They let us, but said sit at the very end where we were far away from everyone else. It took forever just to get a menu, then our food. I got the pasta special with shrimp and clams, and to my absolute disgust, the seafood was so far gone and spoiled. It was inedible. I only really ate the broccoli rabe on top of the dish. The pasta was hard as a rock! We got dessert, and that was fine. I never do this, but didn’t leave a huge tip, as I felt we were completely slighted, despite ordering soup to nuts. I even wrote on the receipt how disappointed I was. If I was ever to go back, I’d want the situation rectified. They made us feel like second class citizens, when we could have had a beautiful experience at the many other good restaurants in the area. I want to be contacted by the owner.
Here was the response from the manager, which I believe is proof of how they treat people. DO NOT GO HERE!! Below is a picture of the email I was sent back. Has anyone ever been treated like this?...
Read moreThis has all of the feel of a high-end Italian bistro with the atmosphere of comfort and kitchen. There is not a lot of seating, so reservations are encouraged. I didn't feel particularly rushed to leave, but was told by staff when making reservations, that we would be expected to leave at a certain time. We had no intentions of loitering. Our meals, drinks, desserts and coffee took us past the designated departure time. No one said anything to hasten our departure, and there were tables available when additional patrons needed to be seated. So ultimately, it was a non-issue, but being given a hard stop time was a bit of a turn-off.
The food was absolutely fantastic. We started with grilled calamari and the brussel sprouts - each bite better than the last. I couldn't pick which i enjoyed more.
I tried everyone's entree: If they have the pork chop on the menu: get it. Hands-down the dish of the night. I've never had a more juicy and delicious pork chop in my life. In a close second was the fish special. And a distant 3rd was the meatballs.
For dessert: lemon sorbet was light and refreshing (2 generous scoops), the creme brulee lacked the requisite sugar cracking layer of the brulee, but the flavor was standard, and chocolate souffle was the star of that course.
The kitchen is open so you can see all the fun unfold, smell all of the wonderful seasoning, and watch the plates come out as you try to decide what delicious dishes to pick.
All in all, I...
