I stayed in my first Ramada hotel this past weekend (Parsipanny, NJ), and it will definitely be my last. When we first arrived, it almost reminded me of a horror movie hotel that was dilapidated and run down. The doors no longer require a key card to get in so security is at an all low, anyone from the street can walk down the halls - with the front desk not even attached to the rooms building so they can’t even monitor who’s coming in and out. Then we got to our room - thankfully not the door next door being held together by tape - and it seemed fine, outdated and worn down but tolerable. We weren’t planning to be there a lot. The rust and mildew on the shower head made my skin crawl, so I stuck to taking baths, as the tub was surprisingly clean. Nice TV and cable options, closet was a little make-shift but it was there, sheets and pillows seemed newer so it wasn’t a complete deal breaker. What we then noticedwas that our room was on the ground level and it wasn’t a window our to this “yard” who’s only security was a chain link fence, it was a door, which barely closed properly and had a very feeble lock on it. I then found a set of false eyelashes and an old nesquick cap by our bed - and cleanliness was definitely called into question. We asked for a new room, and was told there were no other rooms and given no options to get out - so not wanting to loose the rest of our money we stayed. (I do not believe the place was full due to the ‘vacancy’ sign and the fact that the parking lot had maybe 10 cars in it maximum the whole time we were there, he just didn’t want to move us). We also had the do not disturb sign on our door and complained because people kept walking in - WITHOUT KNOCKING! to do turn down service or whatever. The whole time I was killing spiders and ants and other unknown critters, and was miserable anytime we had to come back. This area has very few options for hotels that A) allow pets and B) won’t charge an arm and a leg due to the proximity to the city. Next time we will give our arm and a leg to not have to deal with this situation and horrible customer service. Very disappointing and definitely left a very VERY bad impression about this company as a whole. Economically priced should not mean basically running a slum village with little to no security - head quarters should investigate this location and...
Read moreThe hotel could be better, especially the wifi, the rooms are a bit outdated, and their are no elevators nor snack machines, plus they ask for a deposit up front of $50 dollars just to remind you all, they need a better breakfast area as well, plus there is a big open space that fits well for a pool, so just a suggestion, that maybe in the future, an outdoor pool can be added: UPDATE: They also need to get some snacks on the vending machines as well, it's empty, and also the lobby area shouldn't be separate from the rest of the building, cause sometimes the guests have to step outside in order to go to the lobby, I also think that they need to check the doors because they are kept opened without entering the hotel cards, so it's considered a safety issue: THIRD UPDATE: Elevators should be installed, it will be much better for the guests: FOURTH UPDATE: To remind you all they are remodeling right now, so that's a plus, they are removing the carpeting and replacing with tile, also, the lamp in my room was a bit broken, so correct that, and I think the restrooms will be remodeled soon, the first floor needs more remodeling done, the shower head in our room is very old and has oxide in it, so keep correcting, and check the electrical outlets: FIFTH UPDATE: They have added Dove Products now in the bathrooms, so that's a plus: SIXTH UPDATE: The breakfast is getting better now so that's also a good thing: SEVENTH UPDATE: The only thing that's missing is the snack machines, they need to add those, and fix the faucet from some of the bathrooms, they also need to upgrade the computer to a newer version, it's Windows 7 and it is missing a huge chunk of updates: EIGHTH UPDATE: Found out that they do allow anyone to check in here, sometimes crackheads and it's not good, I think they live there and noticed in the breakfast area, some guests bring germs in by coughing around and its unhygienic, the hotel has the potential to become better but I think they really need new management now, the breakfast needs to be updated: NINTH UPDATE: They have an obsession with the security cameras and the "Two people" per room policy now, but the security doors are wide open in the middle of the night and people come in and out as they please, so they need NEW MANAGEMENT and an upgraded...
Read moreThe young arrogant front and manager at night or at the 5 o’clock 4 o’clock shift is very uneducated. Did my booking.com reservation charge my car got to my room and without telling me there’s a security deposit he tried charging my card. Then he calls me. My card was declined for security deposit and I come to the front. Where is there a sign says I have to pay security deposit. It’s our policy. I said well you didn’t tell me that and that should’ve been handled in the Beginning. I said show me the sign and I’ll pay it. It’s our policy. I said where is it stated. Then he shows me someone’s receipt and shows me where they charged for it as well. My receipt. Don’t look like that. Does it now cause you didn’t charge me it that’s on you. You should’ve mentioned it before I even booked the room and I would’ve never booked at this location. Well if you want then you have to wait for a refund and it’ll take you a couple days and that’s not the situation I need right now and I was trying to tell him management skills and he goes well with a big smile on face. That’s not my problem. This is our policy. I said well you should’ve mentioned this in the beginning and you should have a sign posted about it he says do you see on the back of this paper you sign said yeah what does it say? It says When using a credit card at this hotel we may place a hold on your card and it’s talking about $75 which is not even the $50 that he’s talking about and I said why this is outdated second off. It says May May means we may or may not because this is a Wyndham piece of paper and your franchises, which means you may or may not charge me based on the franchise and since you didn’t say it in the beginning That meant you weren’t charging me one he was very rude arrogant cocky he should’ve said listen I’m sorry I screwed up. I forgot to charge you a security deposit. Can we please fix this and I would’ve been like cool no problem. Show me where it states that and I will take care of this. No, he’s very arrogant, rude and cocky and his management skills on top of it. The room is dirty, even though we said...
