Sakura Hibachi Steak House — Restaurant in Parsippany-Troy Hills

We were greeted by their friendly staff and the sounding of the gong 🎶!!

A group of family and friends were in Parsippany, NJ for the weekend and decided to try Sakura for dinner on Friday night. We were excited we did. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end.

Hibachi has always been a fun time because the food is always fresh and the Chef's are masters at their crafts. Which includes culinary and the entertainment arts. Sakura was no exception. We thoroughly enjoyed our Chef's energy, presentations and the food was amazing.

I highly recommend trying Sakura when you're in the area!

HORRIBLE UNKIND SERVICE. Yesterday on April 9th I called in ahead of time to ask if they closed at 10:30 PM as their website says and they told me Yes, I then also asked on the phone if they are allowing people back in the restaurant for Hibachi, or only doing take out and they told me Yes indeed they are allowing people in the restaurant. I arrived there at 9:41 PM with my friend to get some hibachi to celebrate my birthday. We were turned away and told that the last people who can dine in for hibachi is at 9:30 PM, I explained that never on the phone was I told that there was a cut off time time.

I also asked the hostess if she can make an exception because it was only a few minutes and that it was my birthday & only 2 of us and we should be done prior to close, and proceeded to show her my driver's license and asked her to please double-check with a manager to see if they would be willing/able to accommodate us and she refused. I've come here before, the food is above average, but the service is horrendous. Don't support places like this because they have horrible customer service I wish I could...

My wife and I went here recently and let me tell you, worst service I've ever received at a hibachi restaurant! We set an reservation a day in advance because it was on a Saturday so we expected to get seated on time as anyone would. That wasn't the case. We showed up 19 minutes early and ended up waiting another 40 minutes just to be seated. Lucky my wife kept telling me no to leaving because of how hungry she was... We get seated at a table with 5 other people who all happen to be a family. What I found very rude and annoying was the fact that our cook and the family were both Hispanic and spoke in Spanish the entire time! He didn't even interact with us at all. When you go to a hibachi restaurant, you look to be entertained at the same time.... not for us! We felt as if we weren't wanted! Then to top it off.. the food wasn't even that good and it was overpriced! Just the worst... Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this...
