If you are an undiscerning eater, and eat randomly, then you would not be disappointed, it will meet your low standard. If you know your food and how it should taste, stay hungry and move away from Noodle Wong. Below average fare. You may get better stuff at a generic Chinese buffet place. I went there around 4 pm local time, they quickly served their choice, not mine, Sui Mai pork and shrimp, forced served pork noodle, and steamed pork buns, and some other stuff that I declined and asked for soup dumplings, they ignored and offered another thing, I was only looking to eat soup dumplings, the reason I went in there. They agreed and said will make it for me. Everything was cold. After I bit into couple of things, I had to ask them to heat it up, did not offer hot chili oil /sauce or anything,, I had to ask for.The tea was hot. Everything was below average, I paid $30.00 and did not get any worth for my dollars.

The set menu meal consisted of the following: 1. Cold platter with jelly fish, spiced beef, stuffed pigs knuckles, ham and pickled vegetables. 1 b. Fish belly soup. 2. Fried Shrimp with walnut. 3. Twin lobsters Cantonese style 4. Stirred fried beef cubes with vegetables. 5. Stirred fried Oyster mushrooms with baby back choy vegetables. 6. Steamed whole fresh trout. 7. Fried whole spring chicken with garlic. 8. Fried rice with dried scallops and dried baby shrimp. 9. Stirred fried longivity noodles ( Chinese egg noodles). 10. Sweet bean soup and sliced oranges. The meal was average in taste and prescription, and rated at 3.7. likewise with the service. But then again, that was alot of food for less than 300$ excluding tips.

The restaurant is now called Noodle Lee. It was Noodle Wong, and prior to that it was Noodle Chu. Perhaps it's new management because the food today was executed very well. The service was friendly and efficient. In particular our waitress was delivering a hot sizzling casserole then announced she'll wait a little away from our table until the ferocious splattering was reduced. Then she cautioned us to be careful because it was still very hot. Photos: Beef chow fun, Paper fried chicken, Salted fish chicken and eggplant casserole, Fatty pork belly and preserved vegetables.

Food and services are good at this price range. Authentic Cantonese fresh food. Weekends are very busy for their dim-sum brunch. Arrive either early or wait till later to avoid the peak hour during brunch time. They have weekday night dinner specials as well, which are excellent. Everything cooked to order. I ask for less oil in all my dishes and they do deliver, unlike a lot of other places.

We go there about once a week either for dinner or Sunday brunch. Very relaxing typical Chinese family type restaurant atmosphere. It gets noisy during brunch, you know, that's when the families bring the grandparents to eat out, and they need to talk loud. :-) Weekday nights are OK, It's not a fancy restaurant that you want to take your date to for a romantic meal, you only go there for plain old good food. The services are nice. The managers and the regular waiters are very attentive while weekend brunch time is a bit rough since they have additional part time staffs and the place is so over crowded, Plenty of of parking at the stripe mall. Conveniently localed next to HomeDepot and ShopRite is right on the other side of the mall.

I usually do not order the bean curd skin with pork rolls,as most places drown them with heavy sauce like glue. They have just the right amount. It's one of my must have dim sum there. The other items like Shrimp or Beef rice roll, Beef meatballs, shrimp or pork dumplings are standard Cantonese comfort foods. I love their fried squids, it's crunchy and tasty. You''ll need to eat them with some mustard. I can eat a whole plate by myself, but I need to share and I need to have room for other foods. ;-) Another one of my favorite Cantonese stable is the Beef Chow Fun, with less oil of course. ;-)

They do have a larger side of the restaurant which has plenty of room for private functions like wedding receptions or banquets. I attended a Chinese wedding banquet there before. The food and service was excellent. The lobsters were cooked just right, very moist. They opened up the middle as the dance floor. The place did not feel tight at all. I have been to other Chinese banquets in NY and NY areas, most restaurants packed the tables so close to squeeze in too many people that you can't walk out to use the rest rooms once...

What happened to this place!? This is a truly tragic fall from grace!

I was a veteran of this restaurant starting from back when I was a little kid and this place was still called Noodle Chu. Last time we went was sometime after COVID, and Noodle Wong was still a LEGENDARY place for my parents and I to scratch that dim sum itch! Packed with people and carts full of tasty food, we always walked out happy, full, and satisfied with our experience!

Now, we came back to this place again last Friday (November 2023) after not having returned in a while.

Wow. What a disappointment. The first thing that was wrong was that the tables no longer had the sauces on the side and we didn’t have soup spoons either. The food was ok but a far cry from what it used to be. The worst part of all was the soup dumplings. Not only did we not have any sauce or soup spoons to use, the dumplings SHRANK to HALF THEIR ORIGINAL SIZE!!! And the soup dumplings are my favorite part of dim sum, so this especially ticked me off. As a matter of fact, I noticed that there were only TWO food carts being pushed around when just a few years ago there were around 5-6 outside at once! It’s nowhere near as crowded as it used to be, which should’ve been a red flag in hindsight!

I don’t know if it’s because of inflation or something, but this place, probably in a very desperate attempt to save money, seems to have cut corners. Lots and lots of them. The $60+ bill felt like a rip-off instead of a worthy price. Unless this place turns around and stops skimping to the point of destroying the dim sum experience, this will unfortunately be my last visit to Noodle Wong after over a decade of...

Noodle Wong (previously Noodle Chu) has the best Cantonese style Chinese food in the area. I feel lucky to have them in the next town over. The only other Cantonese style places I'll go to are 30 to 45 minutes away.

The staff here is always willing to work with us to make dishes not even in the menu, and they do them all perfectly. Some dinner favorites of mine are the chicken pan fried noodles with extra meats added (or the seafood version is very good), beef chow fun, twin flavor fried rice, pork chop peking style, the fish and tofu casserole, and Peking duck, and sauteed snow pea leaves.

They also have dim sum every day until 3pm. Carts on the weekend, and made to order on weekdays. It's all good, but if you're going on the weekend, you'll get the freshest stuff and best selection before 1:30 to 2.

Also, i think Monday through Thursday for dine in, there's a family meal that's $24 for soup for three, three slightly smaller sized dishes, and rice for three. It's only $8 to add another dish, so it's a good way to go with a few people and get to sample a bunch of dishes.

I'm not a big fan of their hot tea. But they totally make up for it by having chrysanthemum tea. You just have to ask for it. That is awesome. Also, if there during dinner, you can usually get red bean soup for dessert, and that's an excellent way to end the meal. The bill is always reasonable, even when we custom order our own version of dishes, it's always very reasonable.

There are places that are just as good, but they're either far away or in the city, and you can't beat the friendly staff here at Noodle Wong. I'll be going here as long as...
