A Culinary Odyssey of Indian Delights - The Epitome of Fusion and Authenticity!
It is with utmost pleasure that I award a well-deserved five stars to the Indian restaurant that has managed to capture both the essence of authenticity and the excitement of fusion cuisine. This culinary gem offers an exquisite menu that includes veg kheema paav, pindi chhole bhature, samosa pizza, and paan shake, each of which provided an unforgettable experience for my taste buds.
The veg kheema paav was a revelation. The clever use of minced soya and vegetables created a texture and flavor that was undeniably reminiscent of the traditional non-vegetarian version. Paired with perfectly toasted paav, generously buttered and sprinkled with a hint of coriander, this dish was a magnificent tribute to the classic Mumbai street food, elevating it to new culinary heights.
The pindi chhole bhature left me speechless. The chhole, boasting a rich and aromatic blend of spices, were cooked to perfection, tender yet maintaining their integrity. Served with piping hot, golden-brown bhature, this dish was the epitome of comfort food. The bhature, with their fluffy interior and crispy exterior, were a flawless accompaniment to the chhole, making it a match made in heaven.
The samosa pizza, a bold and innovative fusion creation, was a delightful surprise. The traditional Indian samosa filling was layered on a crispy, thin crust and topped with gooey, melted cheese. The amalgamation of Indian spices and Italian flavors resulted in a symphony of taste that left me craving more. This dish is a must-try for anyone seeking an exciting and unique gastronomic adventure.
Lastly, the paan shake was the perfect ending to the meal. This rich, creamy concoction was an ingenious way to incorporate the refreshing taste of paan into a luscious, velvety drink. Served ice-cold, the paan shake was not only a visual treat, with its vibrant green hue, but also a masterful balance of flavors, combining the sweetness of gulkand, the freshness of betel leaves, and the subtle warmth of cardamom.
The ambiance of the restaurant was warm, inviting, and impeccably clean, adding to the overall experience. The attentive and courteous staff ensured that our dining experience was flawless, making us feel like valued guests in their home.
In conclusion, this Indian restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable culinary journey that transcends the boundaries of tradition and embraces the daring world of fusion. The dishes were expertly crafted, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere enchanting. This is one restaurant that has truly earned its five stars, and I cannot wait to return to explore more of their...
Read moreOrdered take out. Came in a really nice reusable bag to my surprise. Food was nice and warm, ready to eat for a winter delivery. The food wasn't overly greasy and is full of flavor which is wonderful (see pictures).
I ordered delivery again and there were a few shortcomings. Ordered the veggie pizza and steamed momo this time (sorry, no pictures).
The veggie pizza which comes with the same base sauce but was very thinly applied. And there was more cheese than veggies on the pizza. Now I don't usually complain about cheese on my pizza but this was way too much for a thin crusted pizza and with little sauce it wasn’t very enjoyable.
The steamed momo tasted great and I love the sauce they supply with it (hope that doesn’t change). Only issue was that they did not include wax paper on the base of the container so our steamed momo peeled off the container with it. This meant we had to go rip the bottoms off and trash them as no one enjoys a side of paper with their order. This seems to be the case with every steamed momo order we chose as it’s happens twice more before. Not an issue when you order fried for some reason as that comes with wax paper on the bottom to prevent this misshap.
Other than that we recommend the place to anyone who doesn’t mind the flavorful heat as it’s packed with a laundry list of options to quench any mood you might be in!
UPDATE: Really glad the place responded and will be making a change to their momo orders. This is wonderful to hear as the dish is truly a great one. Upped the rating from 4 to 5 stars on response.

Read moreI went here last weekend for like the 4th time. We have had food here before as well and however, this time we noticed that none of the chefs were wearing gloves. The head chef who was very pushy during our first visit (insists WAY TOO MUCH on trying certain dishes) was cooking at the open kitchen and literally putting food on his palms and tasting it, and continued to cook and serve the same way. A total of 4-5 chefs were cooking right at the open kitchen and not a single one wore gloves. The funny part is the very nice guy at the cashier who’s probably got nothing to do with cooking was wearing a glove. Such lack of hygiene at a restaurant which is part of such a whole group was insane. And the fact vegetarian and non vegetarian food both were being handled at the same time without gloves makes me never want to visit this place again. I questioned the cashier guy about the gloves and he gave a complete illogical answer that they can’t wear gloves because the stove is too hot. I didn’t wanna trouble him as it wasn’t his fault so I didn’t argue further. After we took a seat, in the next moments all of them put gloves on, however most didn’t wear them on both hands. And the head chef didn’t wear any even after this. If they can be so reckless at the open kitchen, one can only imagine what goes on at the back.
As for the food, way over pricey for such lack of hygiene and quantity. It’s only about time when someone from food safety/ quality control walks in here and fines them for this. The ambience is nice, but has anyone ever visited a restaurant for the ambience more than its food? For anyone visiting Lazeez, I’d say, watch out...
