In the incredibly complex and competitive space of boba shops in the San Gabriel Valley, one more location of one of the strongest contenders has appeared: Wushiland Boba. This store just opened in The Paseo, an outdoor shopping mall here in Pasadena that's right across from the post office that's on Colorado. I've tried Wushiland Boba before, both the San Gabriel, as well as their Shops At Santa Anita locations are great, so I was already prepared for top-tier Boba with quick, polite and professional service and that's exactly what I got. Larry, the fish that serves as the brand's mascot, kinda makes me think how the tapioca balls could be fish eggs, but in reality, the chewiness of this boba is unmatched. As the Italians say when they speak about pasta cooked to perfection: this boba is "al dente". This is a very strong franchise back in Taiwan, and I can see why. I got the Brown Sugar Green Tea Boba Milk Tea with 0 ice and 100% sugar and it was 10/10. Highly recommended.
