We planned on going to another restaurant right across the street but apparently they were booked from all the people visiting for the fair.

No big deal. Blast & Brew had a wings and wine special that day (Wednesday) so we took advantage of that.

We were seated indoors pretty quickly upon entering. Our server, Brenn provided us with the wine/beer card then took our orders. We all got wings.

Since this is a "choose your own adventure" type of restaurant with regard to the beers and wines, we each went to the wall to select our drinks using the cards we were provided.

The beer wall is stocked with numerous local and domestic craft beers and local wines. I don't remember if anything was imported. What's cool about the wall is each beer or wine gives you a brief description and you can taste something that piques your interest before committing to it.

Once we were done deciding on our drinks, we headed back to our table. Shortly after we sat down with our drinks, our wings arrived.

I got a split of garlic and hot wings. All the wings were fairly big but they were cooked just right. They were all nice and crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, just how I like it. But, of the two flavours, I preferred the garlic, especially the garlic shreds that were added to the top.

This was my second visit here and I would definitely go...

First time here. Only came because husband was looking for a fresh baked pretzel. I ordered the Carnitas fries $14 and of course he ordered the Bavarian pretzel $10 and a pound of wings $15. Waitress asked us if we wanted anything to drink other than water and then the lost look on our faces prompted her to ask if it was our first time here. She took my husband to the wall to explain the @Pourmybeer card that dispenses what you self serve and runs a tab so when you check out, it will give you how much you owe. Pretty cool concept just so we won’t have to be concerned with the wait staff. The place is clean and quiet. We got two hours of free parking from the paid parking meter.

Food came out fast. Nice, clean spot. The only downfall is the flies. Maybe because we sat near the kitchen is why two of them were so vicious. The guy who brought out our food said there was nothing he can do about the flies but what this (any) restaurant can do is have a blower/fan at t he entrances. This is, However, an open air restaurant that have the super neat patio doors that open up to outside. Gave it four stars only because the carnitas fries were okay and was served with ranch and not pico de gallo. The beer was a pink lemonade which was weird to me. Hubby chose it so I can’t fault the restaurant for trying to offer...

Honestly, the worst dining experience I've had in a long time. Before I share my experience let me just say, if you make a mistake, just own it. I get we'll make mistakes and it goes a long way to say I'm sorry. Unfortunately, that is not what I received this evening.

We put in our order and waited over an hour as we watched everyone around us get served. When we finally brought it to the server's attention, he claims they forgot the electronic ticket. Probably he just forgot to put it. No apologies given, just said I noticed that, let me go check on it. So we waited some more, and then when our food finally arrived, it was completely wrong. 2 out of the 3 orders wrong. He tried to tell me that my impossible burger, which was 100% beef, was probably still Impossible. The vegetarian knows what real meat looks like and this was 100% beef. No apologies given. I asked him to take it away as I don't eat meat, and he made no attempts to right the situation for the 3rd time. He mumbled under his breath as he walked away that our meal was comped. Which was acceptable for my 2 friends who waited over an hour, but I never received a meal. Quite unfortunate as my experience a week prior was 1000 times better with a different server. Won't be back...

"Discovering Blast and Brews in Paso Robles was a delightful surprise! Nestled in the heart of wine country, this place combines the best of both worlds: fantastic craft beer and mouthwatering pizza. The atmosphere is lively yet cozy, perfect for a casual night out with friends or a relaxed family dinner. Their beer selection is impressive, featuring local favorites and unique brews that cater to every palate. As for the pizza, it's simply divine - fresh ingredients, crispy crusts, and generous toppings that leave you craving more. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with recommendations and a warm smile. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Blast and Brews is a must-visit spot that promises a memorable dining experience. Cheers to good beer, great pizza, and even better company!"
