This review is for a specific visit to Justin tasting room. Usually it’s a wonderful experience, the wine is excellent and the staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly.. however the last time I was in I had a different server and it ruined the experience for me. Elyssa was my pourer and once she heard I was a wine member and would be doing the complimentary tasting before I picked up my shipment the way she treated me differed from the other customers purchasing wine or who weren’t already members. (Also assuming I might not be purchasing anything extra from her) A few examples being she hardly visited my table, didn’t ask me how my experience was going, didn’t share any details about the wine just the name of what she was pouring then quickly walked away. I usually purchase food while tasting and come home with a few bottles but I could hardly get a word in between how fast she would walk away. Than I would listen to her chatting up the other customers with information about the wine she was pouring, the vineyards or just pleasant chatting. The tone I got from her towards me was “disinterested” I felt very uncomfortable and hadn’t had that experience once while visiting the tasting room, I felt judged on what she thought I would be worth to her which was apparently nothing($$) I ended up not purchasing anything extra from her like my initial intent was. My experience with her is NOT a reflection of the other staff or the tasting room itself, I want to make that clear...
Read moreWe had the worst customer service experience from one of the managers (the red-haired lady with pulled back hair). We called the tasting room earlier that day wondering if they could help with shipping one Justin bottle we purchased a day earlier from the Estate. The person on the phone was very helpful and was willing to help us. However the manager treated us as if we were up to some scam when we arrived to bring the wine bottle. The manager was in the middle of a sit-down dinner with wine as we were told to talk to her. We were standing in front of three ladies dining as if we were some schoolgirls. She rolled her eyes at us several time as she already agreed to help. But when she called us “liars” we couldn’t tolerate her any longer and left the establishment as quickly as possible. It was also truly sad because our experience at the estate was amazing. We were even touring the cottages considering planning our events at that winery. But after the experience at the tasting room, I don’t think we’ll ever buy...
Read moreMy friends and I stopped in for lunch on 4/1. We were really looking forward to the food and a few bottles of wine. Now, if the service was bad I would give them a pass but it was beyond that. Our lunch came out before our appetizers and some of my party got their food 20 minutes later. We had to find our own utensils and napkins. After asking for the check three times, we asked an employee about the extended wait time. He replied something to the extent of, “Do you just want to leave and not pay your bill. Do you also want to take some wine with you?” I was literally blown away by his sarcasm and presumption that we did not want to pay our bill. Now, I understand that my backwards hat and tattoos may give the impression that I’m not important and maybe I’m not. But I will certainly never spend another dollar of my hard earned money at this establishment and I’ll recommend the same for all my other unworthy six and seven...
