I’m actually so disappointed with my visit here. i called and ordered a 1/4 chicken with the sides being rice and salad. Mind you every time i order the 1/4 chicken, no matter what restaurant, i always order it with rice and salad. Anyway when i get there i get my food and leave. I go to my car and realize they gave me fries instead of rice. As much of an inconvenience this is I understand sometimes restaurants have mix ups. I work in the food business & I know customers can be so rude so i always try to be super polite. so i walk in and nicely tell the woman working there that they gave me fries instead of rice. & she literally told me to my face “No you didn’t ask for rice, I took your order on the phone and you asked for fries.” …. like what?!?! that is so rude and no one asked for a nasty attitude, especially since i was so kind about it and i Know for a fact i ordered rice because i never order fries. So i told her “actually no i didn’t i never order fries” and she just gave me attitude and walked away to answer a phone call, making me feel ignored. On top of that, the chicken they gave me was SO DRY, the rice had a black hair in it & the salad lettuce was brown. I literally wasted my money because i had to throw it all out. She was so disgustingly rude and the food was not fresh at all. i could barely bite into...
Read moreDecided to take a day trip out to Jersey to have Peruvian food. We found this place on TikTok and were convinced by the content and the already amazing reviews. I will say after having this that I have 0 regrets. The food was amazing.
We had a good mix of food. My favorites were the OGs lomo saltado and pollo à la brasa. You can genuinely taste the Smokey flavor in the chicken hence the “al carbon”. The huancaina sauce I feel needed a bit more spice but the flavor was there. The lomo was really good y jugoso. Just overall a great and solid dish. The drinks were strong but still sweet enough to offset and create an amazing taste.
The anticuchos were grilled perfectly to my liking and had a lot of flavor. Reminded me of when I was a kid and my mom did anticuchadas ‼️‼️
The choros à la chalada were good but the corn threw me off. I’m not an expert in these but I know most places don’t usually put corn on it. Also from what my cousin says, most places keep the muscle intact and they place the seafood on top but these, the muscles were not intact.
Another thing I must point out is the green sauce was sooo good. I should’ve gotten some to take home. It went well with everything. If I lived closer, I’d add this place to the rotation but I’ll bookmark this place if I’m ever...
Read moreI went there for the first time with my wife and my mother-in-law because we’re in the Passaic area. On the street parking was available on a busy street and when we walked in the restaurant, there was loud salsa music play. We sat in the back corner of the restaurant so the music wasn’t as loud. The temperature in the restaurant was rather hot. I’m not sure even if they had air conditioning going. However, it wasn’t too uncomfortable to have dinner. Service was a little bit on the slow side. There is only one waiter on a Sunday evening and as we continue our meal, it started to get a little bit busier so it was Understandable that he had many tables to take care of. The food itself was very very good , portions were gigantic and for the most part very delicious. I had a beef steak dish. The steak was thin. It wasn’t chewy or overcooked. My wife had a Mariscos chaufa and that was very good and my mother-in-law had a Marisco‘s dish as well with calamari . calamari was a little bit on the rubbery side, but the sauce is very good. Overall, I would recommend this place. I would eat there again and I would bring family...
