After seeing the initial flood of positive reviews on this new pizza place, we were excited to try it. It's obvious now that all of those reviews were from friends and family, because this place is not rave worthy in the slightest.
We ordered 2 pizzas, one of them came out burned. The sauce tastes just like a jar of bland, mediocre spaghetti sauce we've purchased from Costco. We're a sourdough family, with years of experience making sourdough, and the "sourdough" crust here falls far short of a genuine sourdough. They have nothing on the menu other than pizzas, no salads, not even any kind of bread or bread sticks (really? from a "sourdough" place?). The pizzas were falling apart and when we asked for forks they said they didn't have any utensils. Have fun scraping the cheese off of your cheap paper plate. Each pizza "comes with a drink". Nearly $20 for each 12" pizza that comes with a lukewarm bottle of soda or water out of a barrel that may have had ice in it hours ago, but certainly didn't at dinner time. We took the left overs home to our ravenous boys who will eat anything and they preferred the frozen pizza from our freezer. If you want good pizza in Payson, this isn't it.
The "service" is non-existent, the kids were too busy "hanging out" to care that they had customers. The atmosphere is okay, they didn't really change anything from the previous place other than adding a few cheap tables with uncomfortable chairs. The lighting is dark, the corny music is way too loud, and the floor doesn't appear to have been mopped since they opened.
Some places make it in Payson, so many don't. Wait 6 months and there will be something new to try in...
Read moreWe like supporting the local businesses on Main Street, so we were excited to try this new sourdough pizza place. The pizza descriptions sounded great. We settled on the pepperoni, mozzarella, and fresh basil pizza. We placed the order online. Wait time 45 minutes. For a pizza?! Ok. We went to the building, about 40 minutes later, and the pizza was still not ready. We waited about 10 more minutes. The pizza came out in a small box. We opened it up, in the building, and saw what looked like a medium frozen pizza bought from the grocery store. This was not a $17 pizza. Not even close. We got home took a bite and were instantly disappointed. This pizza was not good. No flavor. Crust was beyond thin. The toppings looked like school lunch pizza toppings. I've actually had pizza out of a vending machine, tasted and looked about the same. Pic shows how small the $17 pizza is. No trick photography. Reply to the owner: You do not offer a "thin crust" option. That was just one thing that was surprising about our pizza. The crust was paper thin. You also mention "artisan" pizza. There was nothing "artisan" about it. Maybe it was an off night? But, you only get one chance to make a...
Read moreFirst class experience I would have never guessed was in Payson UT!
I started my Google account because my favorite pizza place at a ski resort in New York went out of business. I grew up in the nyc suburbs and travel a ton for pizza so I know a thing or two.
Is this pizza incredible based on everywhere I have been? Absolutely not. But based on utahs standards it’s very good.
Now based on the dining options in Payson Ut it is hands down and awesome experience especially for being open on Sunday.
The menu is small which is awesome the foods fresh and well made. The food was made snappy and they don’t take shortcuts. I also loved the craft rootbeer they had its awesome.
The service and setting are awesome as well with the high ceilings.
Only downside is street parking but there’s a lot behind it that’s very close as well.
I will definitely return to this place really happy you opened up in this location hands down one of the best dining options on Main Street if not THE best dining option on...
