I love this place a lot. I had two recent experiences I want to share. I come here a lot, but on January 5th, I came in about 45 minutes before closing. I wanted the salad mix, but container was empty. The young man who would have put together my poke bowl stated they were out. I asked if they had some and just not put out. He then opened up what looked to be a cooler. He stated they had "none". So, I asked if they were all out of the salad mix and he said, "yes". Okay I thought to my self what are they going to do for their customers the next day. I decided to find out.
So, I visited the location on January 6th, much earlier around 3pm or 4pm. I lovely young lady, Elizabeth assisted me. I asked her if they had received an express overnight delivery of the salad mix. She looked a little perplexed, but she would check. I explained, because I had come in the evening before and was told they had no salad mix in restaurant. I then received a very important call and had to step outside. When I came back in I preceded to continue with my order, she advised, it wasn't that they had none, it was probably just not prepped. I advised the person could have just told me that instead of lying. All in all, Elizabeth took great care of me and I preceded to get a great poke bowl, miso soup, seaweed salad and spicy edamame.
It was so delicious, I actually came back in on the 9th. Another great visit with Elizabeth...
Read moreI am not sure if the experience is different going into the restaurant and ordering or if it was a very off day but I cannot recommend ordering for delivery. The poke bowl was essentially a $17 bowl of rice that tasted like it had been sitting in a rice cooker or plastic container for too long. The toppings were ridiculously non-esistent. I think I had two pieces of mango and 3 pieces of pineapple, and tablespoon of crab salad in my entire bowl. A few toppings were missed entirely. I got the shrimp and tofu and the tofu was disintegrating mush and the shrimp were as rubbery as a bouncy ball and comoletely inedible. Nothing had any flavor except the rice that tasted like residual plastic. They definitely forgot to put the sauce on, that or they squeezed a few drops on top. My soup was stored in a plastic bag on its side so 3/4 of it spilled out into the bag and it was a mess. I dont write many reviews and especiallly dislike writing bad reviews but my experience was so bad that I felt the need to so that others can be aware and not waste their money and also to make the owners/management aware so they can work on...
Read moreBecause of the pandemic my boyfriend, friends and I have been either doing a lot of take out or delivery and yesterday a friend and I decided to try this place because our normal poke place (mist poke bar) is closed on Tuesdays. This place had a decent looking menu so what the hey! This place was so good, I decided to have it for dinner again tonight. My friend is a vegan and she loved that she could get her tofu torched to give it a little extra flavor. All in all the ingredients seemed fresher than Mist and the crab salad was to die for. The fresh ponzo sauce was out of this world. I don't think I've had any ponzu sauce that good.... ever. At every poke place I go to I normally get the half and half with brown rice to make it a little healthier and both times they didn't overcook their rice like a lot of other places do, which is a huge plus. My ONLY complaints is that their bowls are a little smaller and you only get two proteins instead of three with the regular bowl. Plus it comes in plastic instead of a hard cardboard which makes it...
