We did the all you can eat. This is by far the worst experience we've had, and it was solely due to the food. The wait staff was quite nice, friendly, and fairly attentive. I know All-you-can-eat places may do thinner cuts of fish, smaller rice, etc. to save here and there, yet this was far too many steps beyond reasonable. The picture shows the wasabi we all got, dried out, and obviously old. Same with the ginger. We should have known what to expect next. Then the fish arrived, the blessed simple spicy roll (tuna and salmon, we got both). This should be a homerun for any sushi establishment. Instead, we got rubbery textured fish mixed-in heavily with soggy/stale tempura crunch. The rolls verged on tasting past expiration. I can only assume the excessive tempura was an attempt to pad out their costs on fish. Literally, the only (partially) redeeming thing about the entire meal was the salmon nigri. It's about the only thing that tasted fresh, and appeared to be made to order. Really quite good. It's the only thing we had that I could recommend. Perhaps the most frustrating thing is that everything tastes like they're trying to just save on time by pre-making almost everything. Unfortunately, it's so much in advance that it goes stale, browns, or dries out. While it's a new place, they opened long enough ago that their kitchen should have already worked out the kinks. No restaurant should be serving this kind of food. We will not return, sadly. I voiced all these concerns to the supervisor (there was no manager on site apparently for dinners they said), and they simply nodded without any response or attempt to service correct. I was shocked at the lack of concern. If they truly are so unconcerned about their food quality, I caution you to not venture here yourself either. Such a viewpoint portends the quality will only slip further, and I wouldn't want anyone to experience food poisoning as a result of...
Read moreHad an absolutely amazing time celebrating my 13 year olds birthday at Edo Japan last night. Made reservations the day before and we only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated when we arrived. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to bring in a cake. The food was pretty great. We all did the “all you can eat” dinner (except my 3 year old) who only wanted fries and nuggets. When the food finally arrived, the only issues we had was no one could remember their orders as most of it came out randomly and some of us got the same things. There should be a better system with so much food coming out. We had a party of 10. We were able to share with one another which was great. My toddler was really hungry and the kitchen was backed up so his fries and nuggets came out almost dead last. They have a rule of no sharing unless you get a.y.c.e but I had to feed him some of my fried rice. He really enjoyed it. When the nuggets came out they were rock hard so he didn't get to eat those. Only other issue was the ceiling leaking over my seat randomly a few times. The manager was understanding and apologetic and gave us a discount on our entire meal. Overall the food was good for such a busy night. One day ahead of 4th of July I was not expecting it to be so busy. They did well at getting food out at a reasonable time. All you can eat is worth the price if you want to try several things. On our way out one of the staff members offered my boys sparklers to light outside. It was a really nice gesture and fun way to end dinner. We will definitely eat...
Read more(Reposted from Yelp) I cannot believe that a place like this is allowed to exist... and I mean that in a VERY good way!
Food: Yelp doesn't say it here but this is also an ALL YOU CAN EAT sushi spot... if you can't finish it you pay extra but DEAR LORD is it amazing! The fried sushi is... ehhh except for maybe the Queen Roll.... But forego your large bellied Texan roots and go for the absolute DIVINITY that is the Eel roll! I decided to NOT do that and had so much tempura I almost made myself sick! The food is rich, amazing, and very filling! If you aren't a fan of just two "small" sushi rolls then have no fear-- this is NOT a place that knows what a "small" roll is, and with the AYCE? MULTIPLE rolls!
The AYCE also includes appetizers, dessert, and fried rice! This was my first time trying Sake as well... and the delightful, flowery fragrance in the flavor was brilliant!
Service: Our wonderful little server, Tree(?), was helpful, appeared at-- unironically-- perfect intervals to take our orders and was clear, concise, and patient. Blank in her expressions but in a purely professional way. Very nice to have someone so efficient to service you!
Ambiance: Fat Japanese-style cats(I forgot what they're called, pardon me) are painted on the walls and they played the actually somewhat good pop over the speakers at a low level so that if there IS a song you hate playing in the background then you won't want to drive the nearest chopstick into your eardrum. What's NOT to love?!
Amazing place. Take your sweetheart here and...
