Host sat us as the restaurant was nearly at capacity so we winked at being ignored by waitstaff and employees passing us by for several minutes as we continued to wait to be seated. After finally being acknowledged and shown to a table we were told "Someone will be with You shortly." Seventeen minutes later and several waitstaff passing us by with menus still spread out in front of us with no drinks, no appetizers, again no acknowledgement. We proceeded to google another restaurant besides Italiano's for this evening provisions. Server (unknown) Came to take our orders. We told him we were about to go to another restaurant. He then proceeds to say "This is not my section but I'll take your order". Server is unknown due to him not introducing himself. Sometime later... After another worker carrying dessert options passed our table I inquired about those sweet options to which he states he would be right back. Upon the dessert worker returning he asked "Who is Your server?" We replied "We don't know!" He then asked three other workers in our presence who our server was? They did not know. Long story short I do not recommend Italiano's of Pearland. We were charged for an Italian Margarita when it was a Strawberry Margarita. We were charged for Tiramisu which we returned to the kitchen because we ordered the Italian Cream cake which was delicious. The food was good though! Overall two stars for the food. No stars for customer services. The server still unknown to us asked if we wanted refills on Raspberry ice tea to which we said yes and he took the glass and never brought a refreshed drink. We laughed about it. It was funny. We then asked for two separate to go boxes with bags and waited for the tab bill as the same server passed us three more times with large brown bag on our table. I was able to use the restroom and fix my hair to come back to no close tab on the table still.10 minutes later still waiting for close bill we decided to go to the host booth to pay. For the unknown server to run to us saying "Oh, you wanna check out now". We proceeded to check out and after walking to car noticed was charged for Tiramisu and Italian Margarita, when we didn't order Tiramisu nor Italian Margarita. It was a Strawberry Margarita. Overall it was a bothersome experience. It wasn't a pleasant at all. We will not...
Read moreTo Whom It May Concern,
On May 8 at approximately 4:30 PM, I accompanied my mother to dinner at Italiano's a restaurant she has long cherished. We were seated promptly and warmly greeted by our server, Parker, who maintained a courteous and professional demeanor throughout our visit.
Unfortunately, our dining experience was significantly disrupted due to a delay in service. Despite ordering shortly after being seated, we waited over 45 minutes for our starter salads and entrees, while several tables seated after us received their meals well before us. After some time, we politely asked Parker if we could speak with a manager, as we simply wished to have our meals prepared to-go due to the extended wait. Parker kindly obliged and expressed sincere apologies for the inconvenience.
However, what followed was deeply disappointing and unexpected. Shortly after, Parker returned to our table and apologized for allegedly making us feel racially discriminated against—something we had never stated nor implied in our conversation with the manager. When I asked Parker where that allegation came from, he informed us that the manager on duty, Ariana, had relayed that claim to him.
This was not only inaccurate but highly inappropriate. At no point did we suggest that our concerns were related to Parker’s service or race-based discrimination. On the contrary, Parker provided excellent service despite the kitchen delays. The fact that the manager misrepresented our complaint in such a serious and misleading way is both appalling and unacceptable. It turned what should have been a simple and enjoyable dinner into a highly distressing experience.
My mother has always held this establishment in high regard, and it is deeply upsetting that a place she loves was the setting for such an incident. Furthermore, when I inquired about speaking with someone above Ariana, I was informed that no further contact information could be provided.
I sincerely hope this matter is reviewed by corporate leadership. I trust that your organization values accuracy, integrity, and respectful treatment of its patrons, and I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with someone further about this incident.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely, A...
Read moreThis was a delivery, from the start ordering went south, when I was told I would get an email with an invoice from catering department, and did not receive it, I called to let them know, young lady told me to hold, but had me on a soft hold and while arguing with her staff and then saying, now let me see what this lady wants, then abruptly hung up on me. I called back 3 times and no one answer. I contacted the Pearland restaurant and asked for a manager. He, apologized and said he found my order. When catering originally took my order, I was asked if I would need utensils and plates, and I said yes. This was for an event. Day of delivery, no utensils no plates, we called Italianos and was told they do not provide this unless it is requested, I was asked if I would need them I said yes. So off I run away from event to get these items, in the meantime I open the meatballs I ordered, and they are super dry, sauce to cover spaghetti is not even there, we are now 20 min past our 3 pm dinner, my husband had to drive to restaurant for more sauce. Frustration is now at a high level. We always catered from the Original Italianos in Humble for years, we would have events there, so I know thier food and service. Those who also knew of the Humbled location were excited for those famous rolls, that were so good we ended up with a pan and a half l as they were not fresh and those who knew of Italianos said the rolls were not as good as Humble's . We did have to serve spaghetti with the meatballs the way they were , as we were already 40 min past our time and had out of town guests driving back home same day. Once sauce arrived, we were able to serve the spaghetti, We were not charged for the extra sauce and they sent my husband back with small dessert for us. Will we try thier food again at Pearland location? yes. Will I cater another event ? Possibly, but for a Medical Director from a major hospital attending, she at first asked for thier information to cater thier events, then later told me, she could not afford the drama. Not every event will go perfect, but first impressions...
