I would have given a higher rating but.... My daughter and I went to try the food because we heard good things. We get there, line is out the door, to the sidewalk. It's lunch time so that was understandable. After being in line for 20 minutes or more a nice lady took my order. However I guess she didn't hear me say meal/combo. When I got to the register I was greeted by another nice lady who ask me what we are having. I repeated the order and after she looked at what the lady bagging the food had in there she told her we had combos. It must have really Aggravate the lady doing the bagging to add the fries to the order because her attitude was horrible and undesirable. But considering the fries are cooked in abundance and are stand waiting to be put in a bag, I didnt see the problem. I paid for the food, didn't cause any problems paying the second lady. But the bagger had to make a point after putting the fries in the bag as slow as she could and slowly hand me my bag ( my orde was to go) felt the need to say to the lady at the register " She didn't say combo". When I told her "Thank you" she said absolutely nothing while looking me in my face. I guess I made her day extra hard. My Cheese burger was GOOD but after the whole combo/combo mix up the fries were Horrible. I can give my $$ to anyone.... I do not think i will be giving it to them anymore. I don't think her attitude was necessary. Try them out... I have been hearing about this place so I gave it a try and here’s my honest take.. When I placed my order the lady rolled her eyes and looked to the side.. Being new here, I guess I wasn’t quick enough? I ordered a bacon cheeseburger combo and a grilled cheese w fries for my son… My burger came without bacon and the total was $25.. I ordered two small cups of cheese sauce for our fries and that was another $4.40.. We sat down to eat at a very dirty table and watched as customers were gathering trays to take back for them... The lady running the register was a bit flustered but sweet. I bit into the burger and was extremely let down. The top bun was soggy and falling apart and my bacon cheeseburger had no bacon.. My sons grilled cheese was burned.. Fries weren’t seasoned.. Honestly, the cheese sauce was the only thing good. The reality is that this place is very dirty and outdated. The burger is a big old fat hunk of meat that really isn’t seasoned and is like chewing a baseball.. For a place to get so much business I would expect it to be nicer than a hood gas station. This is definitely one of those restaurants that you try and realize it was all hyped some locals.. My order was wrong and I think I was overcharged.. $30 for that? I really do love the food here. But every restaurant has a responsibility to practice proper current health protocols. I walked in to place a to-go order and saw that all of the workers were not wearing masks. All faces were completely uncovered not even plastic shields were being used despite the state wide mask mandate that is still in effect. If a public service establishment is going to be defiant against doing their part to protect society from a devastating disease, the establishment could at least display this information on the door so others who do care and take this seriously can have the choice of being exposed or not. Once you walk in that choice is gone. Since their non mask policy is not being appropriately advertised nor did the law enforcement seen there today also not do their duty to enforce the mask mandate, this review was made as an attempt to correct this. Again, I enjoyed going to this place prior to covid and it was disheartening to leave immediately after walking in and spend my money else where because of their poor health practices. But considering all factors including the fact that Alabama has the slowest rate of vaccinations, the spread of covid is still a major ongoing national health crisis that should be taken seriously...
