I go to Colada Pines at least once a week or more, I have the emailed receipts to prove it. EVERYTHING I SAY HERE IS CONSTRUCTIVE/POSITIVE CRITICISM THAT HAS WORKED IN MY 30 PLUS YEARS OF RUNNING SEVERAL BUSINESSES. The service at Colada Pines is āhit and missā unless the tall guy Jose, āI thinkā is there, never consistent, BUT NEVER TERRIBLE OR AWFUL. Thereās a lots of room for improvements. One way I fixed that in my businesses, I made sure everyoneās name is clearly displayed on their person. It became a rule and keeps everyone honest and respectful and holds each person accountable for the service they provide. On two separate occasions, I asked one of the ladies their names, the first one was a young girl in her twenties, with an enormous attitude ignored me and she disappeared and never came back out. The second one, was an older and taller lady whoās always in the front she wears glasses, with the same attitude, but kind of fake smirk on her face, she flat out asked me why I wanted to know her name. Like I wanted to flirt with her grumpy self. I realized she was not in a good mood at 9:00AM in the morning, I walked out with my order. Now comes the fat guy, I think heās a manager. Heās not rude but not so friendly either, especially when heās sitting there looking at his laptop doing some kind of āworkā. Overall, you can tell itās a classy āmom and popā operation that can go very, very far very fast beyond Starbucks level if theyāre able to conceptualize a business model that everyone is craving in a post-Covid world. Some consumers love the foods in a lot of places, but ordering from Ubereats to avoid the ānot so greatā customer service would start hitting your wallet. Especially when you live a few minutes away, and it should be a pleasant experience every time you go there, and canāt wait for the next one. There are so many places like that, and theyāre usually on the more expensive side, if youāre wondering why, itās because they realize consumers will travel for miles on their off days for awesome service....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you go through all my reviews you can see I hardly leave bad reviews to any restaurant I go to because I've had the luck that most have been amazing with that being said we just had a horrible experience at this place. I wanted to visit since they opened and was super excited. We arrived and sat down and started looking over the menu to make our order where we spent almost 10 mins deciding what to get ( mind you in all of that time no one from the staff approached us to say that they were out of some items in the menu) well I went to make the order and first the girl taking the order was super rude I believe she said her name was Emily or Daisy not sure about that. I started to place the order which contained breakfast items and she said they didn't have breakfast (on the menu it says breakfast all day) she said they ran out of breakfast which ok I can understand that and we proceeded to order some other things but just with the attitude the girl was treating me I couldn't take it anymore and cancelled the order and we left. I've read great reviews about the food and was bummed out not being able to try it but couldn't handle that level of rudeness. Fyi we were 4 adults in our party and they all saw the way she treated me and they wanted to leave from the get go but I wanted to give the restaurant a chance but that employee...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYou can tell this is a family owned restaurant. The ambiance is so friendly, it's like visiting with your abuela. There are family pictures on the wall, the smell of cooking wafting from the kitchen every time the door opens. As you wait in line to order, you're standing in front of the mouth watering pastelitos, just arms length away. Place the order, sit down and the food is brought to the table. We ordered pan con tortilla, which was the size of the 12" plate! Fresh ingredients, awesome. It came with potatoes that were melt in your mouth soft. The rice bowl, another scrumptious dish serves with your choice of protein, (chicken, this time) rice, pico, cotija cheese, maduro cubes all served in a giant bowl. Finally, just a plain scrambled egg breakfast platter that was everything but plain. I broke down and ended up getting a sampling of all the pastelitos in the display and a to go bowl!!! Every time we come back home, we try to find a hidden gem. Colada Cuban Cafe is definitely a gem that deserves to be lauded! Keep up the excellent work,...
