Pura Vida Miami — Restaurant in Pembroke Pines

I see Pura Vida Miami literally EVERYWHERE!!! Yet somehow, I have never stepped foot into one! How though?!? I’ve seen their locations and the space, decor and vibe looks beautiful. Very aesthetically pleasing. It has this whole coastal beach vibe.

They have 33 locations in Florida alone with a Naples location coming soon. There are also 6 locations in New York and 2 in California.

This Pura Vida Miami just opened on Sept 26th in Pembroke Pines at Pines City Centre. They have plenty of outdoor patio seating with umbrellas for shade.

Their menu looks healthy and yummy. They offer a variety of coffee & tea, smoothies, açaí bowls, all day breakfast, salads, sandwiches and kids menu options. They have cute macarons for dogs too, super bougie. Haha. Not gonna lie, Pura Vida is pricey. Even the kids menu items are pricey. But you’re paying for the ambiance, quality and experience.

Sky was my lovely cashier and she was very friendly and helpful when I had questions about the menu. Something else I noticed was the staff’s super cute name tags, they use Scrabble game pieces for their name tags. How stinking cute is that?!?

I ordered a tea latte and salad. Sky gave me a number to put on my table so the person delivering my food could locate me. The ladies who delivered my food were very sweet and attentive too, I only got Aisha’s name but missed the other young lady’s name. Service here is great all in all.

• THAI ALMOND SALAD: basil, napa cabbage, mixed greens, edamame, red bell pepper, carrot, scallion, sesame seed, tossed in thai almond dressing. $14.95

The Blue Butterfly Latte was such a beautiful blue color. Latte art was on point. I didn’t know what to expect with this drink but it was basically a hot blue tea with ginger. I love ginger so the ginger bite was great. You don’t need any sugar because the honey was just the right amount of sweetness.

Thai Almond Salad was really tasty. I think next time I would add some protein like salmon or chicken. I was super hungry today so I just opted for a light salad. I love how the napa cabbage and all other ingredients were thinly sliced. This makes eating a salad so much more enjoyable and easy to eat. The salad was tossed in the Thai almond dressing and it was just the perfect amount of dressing. Not too much and not too little. I’m that person that usually asks for my dressing on the side too because some come out completely drenched.

This was a good first experience. I can’t wait to come back and try the other food and coffee items! They have a wonderful location in the heart of Pembroke Pines here with tons of street traffic driving by. Meals and drinks can get pricey depending on what you order but at least the quality of everything was good.

Had the Avocado Salmon Bowl. This is my second time here and my second type of bowl. I opted for sweet potato as a base instead of rice and it did not disappoint. Very tender sweet potato without being mushy. A decent slice of salmon cooked to perfection. Very flaky. It could’ve used more salt but it paired well with the flavor from the arugula, greens, spiced pumpkin seeds and feta that you did not miss the salt very much. The dressing is a green tahini, which was a thick hummus like texture. Not what I was expecting but DELICIOUS. I asked for another one. Overall, paired it with an organic Watermelon Cucumber Kombucha drink and a Tahini Chocolate Cookie. Well done Pura Vida. Staff are super attentive and warm/friendly. Interior: The inside is very stylish, tons of solo and group seating inside and outside on the patio. If you're worried about the sun, there are umbrella covered tables available. It smells like an Abercrombie, maybe something to note if your sensitive to smells.

Food: I ordered the strawberry matcha and Cali Chicken sandwich. The strawberry match was good, fair matcha flavor with a sweet strawberry bottom. The chicken sandwich was filling enough to leave me content. Great moist chicken, nicely toasted bread, and perfectly spiced aioli. Good portion sizes as well, I'd say you get a good amount but not too too much.

Service: Everyone was really kind and attentive. I've never had my plate taken so quickly before. Lovely staff overall!
