For reference, we arrived on a Sunday morning around 11am and it was moderately busy with a small line and mostly flowing properly from the looks of it . The line took us about 15 mins to get to to order. However , right as we were ordering , a worker came to the register and told the cashier that they were out of biscuits and was somewhat giving an attitude stating how she had informed someone ten minutes prior to running out. Obviously, this seems to be what was the start of the issues . First off, no announcement was made about the biscuits ...so obviously people kept ordering biscuits. We had a dine in order and also mobile ordered take out (dessert) through Google once we sat down. We waited (at our table ). Drinks came right out within 5 minutes . It took approximately 50 minutes for us to get our dine in order...which considering , not ideal but not terrible ...However , the real problem is the fact that we actually had to walk up and check because we saw that people that had arrived 30 minutes after us were getting there orders first. When we walked up, we realized that people that were complaining rather than waiting as instructed were having their tickets moved up and almost immediately getting their orders prepared. We saw our ticket moved 4 spaces back and then immediately moved to next when we mentioned our wait time. When we got our food, some of it was cold, so I'm not sure if they were not calling orders because people kept interrupting or if they were waiting for the complete order prior to calling. Then, our take out was estimated to be done for 11:55. We walked up at 12:30 and again realized they were again skipping orders. Three people all with pick up times later than ours were getting their orders because they were complaining and standing there staring at the staff. So really, my main concern /complaint is that they were skipping orders left and right , both dine in AND take out . We waited way over the time than people that walked in over 30 mins after us for dine in ...we know because we shared a table with some. And as far as take out , same. I asked the people in front of me that were complaining....they all had pick up times AFTER mine (and we only had one thing to pick up so it was not a complicated order ). Also for reference, they have a system in place for pick up orders as well as for dine in. Obviously, the system won't work if they don't follow it. It was really frustrating that we were trying to be patient and mindful of the staff yet that really ended up being detrimental for us. I've been to Maple Street in other (busier) cities and I recommend skipping Pines until they figure it out. If this were my first impression I definitely wouldn't be recommending it as I have previously been (because their food really is good , when it's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMan what has happened to this location. When it first opened up and subsequently after this place was clean, organized and full of ppl. The food was also on point and well delicious. Now it's a former shell of itself. The food I was served was a mix of hot and cold items, the fountain drink machine was showing signs of mold and looked questionable in terms of health and safety. They have staff members dressed in booty shorts instead of appropriate clothing. Everything screamed this place needs to be redone. I ordered the five & dime and let me tell you, the biscuit I was served was dry and hard. The sausage gravy was not hot and the the chicken had some kind of weird texture than before when it was breaded and actually tasted like chicken. I really don't know what happened or if this location changed owners or management but I was highly disappointed in my visit.
Update 8/25/24: if I could shake my head until it falls out trust me I would. I stand firm in my initial review and the additional members of the food chain. After my initial review was posted, on Aug 2 I was contacted by a Jindi Richards who is a mission coach for the SW region of the Maple Street Company. She reached out to gain additional perspective on what happened during my visit. I provided my perspective and to repair the relationship she stated that she was going to provide a refund for my purchase and also provide a voucher for a free dine in on them due to the situation. She asked me for the card I used and my address to recieve the voucher, which I provided, and I thought to myself this is a good way for the company to make things right, well I was wrong. Time had passed and I had not seen any communication from Jindi in regards to the refund and in regards to the voucher. I reached back out to them on Aug 13 to follow up on what's going on? and on Aug 14 they replied that they would email me once the refund has been processed and did not mention anything about the voucher as well. It is now Aug 25th and there was no refund recieved, no voucher recieved, and no communication from Jindi recieved. That's 3 strikes and you're out. For anyone reading the reviews on Google, take the positive ones with a grain of salt. Maybe the company specially the Pembroke Pine location got their act together I can't say for sure but not only was my personal experience there bad but the following communication with higher ups ended up bad as well. This was enough for me to write Maple Street off as a place I wouldn't encourage ppl to visit until they tighten up from top of the chain to local...
Ā Ā Ā Read morei love maple street, i originally went in orlando and iāve been in tennessee as well. unfortunately, this one falls flat in multiple different categories. service, food & coffee. i ordered for pickup a simple entree & a coffee. i selected a premade coffee, but i prefer less sweet coffee, so i notated āhalf vanilla syrupā, in order to prevent it from being overly sweet.
i went to pickup my order, sort of standing because initially i didnāt see my order and didnāt want to go rummaging through bags. multiple people saw me, not one person acknowledged me. actually, the girl saw me, and walked away to speak to her friend in the back. my coffee was somewhat behind the counter, but i saw my name had to reach over the counter to grab that. i got my items, then went to eat. everything was cold which was fine, but ito be honest not even flavorful like iāve had in prior experiences at maple street.
but the part that frustrated me the most was i took one sip of my coffee and it was so overly sweet, i was wondering if the coffee was in the room with us. it straight tasted like nesquk powder mixed with some milk. i was on a road trip so i couldnāt turn around because i had already got on the highway, so i called to ask for a refund because i clearly notated half syrup.
calling multiple times asking for a manager and they kept stating that he āstepped outā and ādidnāt know when heād be backā. which is kind of weird. i was told the first time to just call back later. when i did, the second girl was much more helpful, but it seems my message never got to him because i never received a call back. iām highly disappointed in this place because the other experiences and visits have been amazing, friendly, delicious. this one fell short in all areas.
i would like a refund still and would like a manager to respect my time and call me back. iām a manager myself and would never allow my team to tell someone call back and us never get back to them. especially when i very clearly asked for something, paid for it and didnāt get what i asked for.
wonāt be coming back to this location if i canāt get the respect of...
