Gaby’s is for the girls!!! What a cute aesthetic and one of my absolute favorite outdoor spots in Pensacola, especially for food trucks! As soon as I walked up to the entrance somebody had popped out of nowhere and greeted us with menus in hands and explained how and where to order and that it was open seating. (They were on it!) The music created the perfect vibe for a weekday night. There were a lot of couples since it was Valentine’s Day but later in the evening, a few groups of families came in and their kids were having a blast. As for the food, I recommend any burrito! It literally melted in my mouth like the best burrito in Pensacola, I am even craving it right now 😅 They have parking behind their location in a graveled space and there should be plenty so you don’t have to worry about walking on the street. It isn’t in the heart of downtown but it is close! Since it’s not in the heart, you wouldn’t want to plan on walking anywhere from there, it’s a great spot to get a quick lunch or even dinner before you hit downtown. When we visited, I don’t believe they served alcohol but definitely check if that’s what you’re looking for because they were still pretty new then. Do you and your girls a favor and go get dressed up, take cute pics with this pink aesthetic that I am obsessed with, and enjoy a burrito for me!! 💖

Years ago I used to work at Tacos Mexicanos with Gabriel and his wife Gaby, I know their work ethic and how good their food consistently is, so I was excited to stop at Gabys Taqueria. First off you can't help but notice the place, with the astroturf, lawn chairs and games like Jinga scattered around, definitely kid and family friendly. You order at the small truck and your food is brought out to you. I ordered the bowl with shrimp, black beans, rice (or greens) pico, cotija cheese with a side of chips and queso. Of course I had to have a pineapple Jarrito, duh! I added jalapenos but they were out, so the gentleman offered me a side of jalapeno slaw (yes please) Everything was tasty and fresh, the tortilla chips were nice and warm and the cheese was delicious. The bowl was flavorful and colorful topped with a slightly spicy crema, I was really impressed.

I really liked it here. Such a nice, cool vibe and great place to chill out even when it’s cold out as they have heaters outside by the tables. The food was A+++. I got the carne asada bowl and my carne asada was very well seasoned, the best I have ever had honestly and everything just went well together. My grandmother got the Gaby bowl with shrimp and cousin the Gaby bowl with chicken and they both also said their food was seasoned well. We went inside to be seated and were very well taken care of. The salsa was very very spicy, I was not warned so I was not ready but I love spicy. A child could not eat it though. We were worried about the portion size when we got our food but we surprising all filled up from it and honestly for $12, it is expected. We paid $53 total for 3 meals, chips and salsa, with 2 pink lemonades so I can’t complain!

Probably won’t be returning due to the lack of professionalism and customer service. As I stepped up to the truck to order my food, Lady #1 said “I’m glad I’m done with that group” (indicating the group that ordered prior to me and my two friends). I thought it was super unprofessional of her to share exasperation about another customer with me. We then waited 30-40 minutes for our food. When it finally arrived, I noticed I didn’t get my queso and chips. Lady #2 bringing out the food said “oh we’re out of queso.” She then promptly turned around 5 minutes later and brought out a massive cup of queso to some customers who ordered after us. I wasn’t gonna make a big deal about it, so we just finished our food. I addressed the issue with Lady #1 and asked for a refund. She ran over to the kitchen-truck and magically found some chips and queso for me. She brought it over and was huffy/miffed when I explained that I’d rather have a refund because - I repeat - I was finished with my meal. She finally agreed to give the refund and marched away. It’s been over 36 hours and still no sign...
