Green Isaac's Coffee & Tea — Restaurant in Pentwater Township

I will never step foot in this coffee shop solely based on the owners. There used to be a coffee shop here called Village Grounds which was around for years and would have lines out the door because everyone LOVED them. It was owned by a very nice local couple that grew up in Pentwater/Hart who rented the space. When the new owners bought the building they strategically jacked up the price of rent so high that the old couple could no longer pay for rent. The new owner of the building did this to force them out so that one of her family members (I believe it was her daughter/son) could move to Pentwater and open up their own coffee shop in that space. The situation is so disgusting to me that I will never support this business, it took a local couples livelihood away from them and eliminated their biggest competitor. Not to mention, the previous couple supported local businesses as well by buying local honey, lavender, and other products for the coffee shop. Every time I walk past Green Isaacs it is desolate and their menu is 10% of what the past...

Had a delicious coffee drink and great advice on what to see and do in the Pentwater/Ludington area. My 14 year old daughter said it was the best Iced Carmel thingy (I forgot what its called) she had ever had!

James or Jamie, was super helpful with his advice on all things local. This is out 4th year back and Jamie was able to guide us in a direction no one has before. His simple advice was able to fill our day with the best hike/scenery we have had here. Even our teenage kids loved it! :)

Cheerful little shop, worth a visit! • espresso : a cedary espresso with a tint of sweet cocoa (roasted @darkwatercoffeeroasters // @greatlakescoffee ) • @synessofactory 200 espresso machine • interior : small hometown vibes with playful blue//green accents • relatively little seating, however the location is wonderful for a nice visit and a quick stroll downtown :) • kind service--even during an overwhelming rush--fast + efficient + pleasant • offers an impressive variety of coffee, tea, vintage sodas, baked goods, breakfast tacos, sandwiches and salads
