I have two younger siblings, and when they come stay the weekend with me, we always go to Bob Evans on Sundays. This past weekend we went and I was really disappointed with this location.
We arrived at around 10:30 and there was a bit of a wait, which was fine. We were seated at 10:45. We waited... and waited... and waited... about fifteen minutes later the waitress came to get our order. We ordered food & drinks at the same time. Over 20 minutes of sitting to get our drinks! Then we waited... and waited... and waited on our food. By 11:30, I was getting pretty frustrated. The waitress must have noticed and offered us free biscuits while we waited.
Finally, at around 11:40, we got our meals. One of which was completely wrong (ordered a cheddar & bacon omelet with home fries and got scrambled eggs, hash browns and sausage links), so it was sent back. Fortunately it was corrected a couple minutes later, by the manager... who offered no apology. Just swooped in, took the plate with the wrong meal, replaced it and was gone.
My food was cold. I ordered a side of Mac & cheese, and while eating it, I bit into a giant chunk of onion. That & the temperature ruined it for me, so I didn't finish it.
I went to the restroom before we left and it was so disgusting. I've been in gas station restrooms cleaner than this one. There wasn't a usable stall.
Our waitress never came back over to check on us. We had to wait & wait & wait for refills on drinks. All in all, we spent maybe 10 minutes actually eating here, in the total 2...
Read moreI have dined and ordered carryout and curbside from this location many times without problems. Today, I had to wait a 1/2 hour for my curbside order. I called when I arrived and the woman on the other end said she will bring it out when she had a chance. I waited 10 minutes (this was 1:30 in the afternoon). I realized maybe they are short staffed so I thought I would help the person and just come in the restaurant so they could save time going out to my car. The woman asked whether I was dining in or carryout. I told her my name and I was picking up my curbside order. She said she hadn't had time to put it together. Another 20 minutes went by. She helped everyone else who was dining in before me. All she had to add to the order was a salad, rolls, and a piece of pie. There was no hot food she was waiting on. Was she short staffed. No. I counted four people who were working behind the counter. Everyone was moving slower than molasses. One woman was just standing there. Another woman after a half hour asked if I had been helped. I said I had been waiting a half hour for my curbside order very upset. Finally, I got my order. I have seen the restaurant substantially busier with faster service. I would highly recommend some better training...

Our food took forever to cook, and then it sat there for over 5 minutes before our waiter finally got to it. My husband and I were trying desperately to keep our toddler entertained while we were staring at our food. The waiter put all of our food on his tray, and then left it there while he was on the computer. Then he was walking around behind the counter. At this point, our food had been up almost 10 minutes. Then he loads the tray on his shoulder, and dropped the whole tray �
I got up with my toddler, and asked for a manager, and I told the lady what happened. I said we needed to get going because my daughter was hungry and fussy. Instead of apologizing, or offering us something out of the bakery to hold us over, she turned around and yelled to cancel the order.
