Great food, amazing music, and a lovely atmosphere! I'm a lover of all things Irish, especially Irish traditional ("trad") music. My parents found this place for me and inquired as to if I could bring my bodhrán (Irish drum) to play in their Saturday trad session. They told us I could stay and play for two sets, so we excitedly took a trip all the way from Southern Delaware to Philadelphia. It was incredible. The atmosphere was great, the musicians were very knowledgeable and also extremely welcoming—I got to play for much more than two sets—and the food was excellent. I greatly look forward to going back and trying different dishes. 🙂 Overall, wonderful ceól and absolute craic. I highly recommend it whether you’re a musician or you just want to sit, eat, and listen to the fun tunes.

Great atmosphere. Been living in the city of brotherly love since forever and this was my 1st time in this establishment. Don't wait as long as I did. The service was outstanding. The name of the bartender is slipping my mind, but she was excellent. The Guinness was cold and poured correctly. The food was so good that I can't come up with the words to describe how good it was. My buddy got the shepherd's pie and before I could ask for a taste it was gone. All I did was spread my mayonnaise on my bun. Looked up and his bowl was empty. True story. If you're in the downtown area and looking for that authentic feel of an Irish Pub you should definitely try this place out. Food & service was A1.

Cool bartenders & good recommendation on beer that's about it👍 Nasty nachos . (!EXTREMELY! stingy with ALL the toppings 🧐🤨😠 Cheese was hard and cold , looks are deceiving 👎. Men's room toilet rocks ENTIRELY to much , no knee room . Swinging doors don't close correctly . Come here for a date you won't be distracted , they don't have TV's , now I think about it , don't remember hearing music either . P.s. I was here around 2018 when I started google guide , the turkey pot pie was AWESOME . Wish Fergie's the best . Sorry won't be back . I enjoy food and some kind of entertainment/(MUSIC) way to much .

They will HOUND you for that $10 minimum but can’t even be bothered to crank the A/C. Honestly this place is just weird, and just like the other reviews state, the wait staff are rude and also weirdly presumptuous. My friends and I were initially excited to come here for trivia night. Before trivia, we stopped at a place that was basically next door for some ice cream. We ate our ice cream and realized we were getting pretty close to the start of trivia, so we entered the building with our basically empty ice cream cups so we could throw them out in there. Well this infuriated the one server. She came over and gave us a heck of an attitude and scolded us for the empty cups of ice cream, saying “there’s a $10 minimum each, ya know, and here you are with ice cream.” We said we fully intended to buy $10 worth of drinks and appetizers (which we did by the time trivia was over). I totally get that we shouldn’t come in with outside food, but 95% of it was eaten and we just needed to discard the cups at that point. We proceeded to order drinks, sodas, and apps to enjoy while playing trivia. This didn’t stop the server from going around to all four of us separately and reminding about the $10 minimum. I was so close to just handing the rude server a ten dollar bill just to get her to shut up about it. And to top it off, the wildly obnoxious trivia host also went on a rant about how each of the patrons needs to purchase a minimum of $10 food and drink. If your business is THAT stressed out about this $10 minimum, that raises so many red flags, including 1.) it’s just tacky to harass your customers for $10+ and 2.) it makes one wonder how well your business is doing if you need to remind your customers all throughout the night about the minimum. Also, if you’re that worried about making sure you’re meeting a certain quota for the night, just charge $5 at the door for trivia. That’s much less annoying. Oh, and lastly, don’t go there if you plan to be a designated driver or if you’re someone who doesn’t/can’t drink. I asked for a Dr. Pepper and the rude server said “we don’t have any,” so I asked for a Root Beer and she said “we don’t have want” and then I said Sprite and guess what… they don’t have any. Apparently they only have Coke and Ginger Ale. I get that it’s a pub, but it’s 2025 and almost everywhere has at least soda options for those not drinking. Very weird experience and a very hostile environment and I was sweating bullets the entire time because the A/C wasn’t on. Thankfully I have a different spot I usually go to for Thursday...

I never write reviews but felt like I had to today because this place so greatly disappointed me last night.

I went on a Friday night because I wanted to go to the live band karaoke. It didn’t start until 9pm, but I got there at 7pm just to get some food, have a few drinks, and chill for a little bit downstairs before going upstairs where the karaoke was happening. I was one of the first people upstairs for live band karaoke in a room that gets packed. I wanted to sing, so I signed up on a piece of paper and put it in the pile with the rest of the requests.

After about an hour and a half around 10:30, I still hadn’t heard my name get called which was weird because I was one of the first people to sign up. I went up to the karaoke host stand and asked to see if the paper with my request was still in the queue because something seemed off. It wasn’t there. I don’t know what happened, but it wasn’t there. Whatever. I don’t know what happened, but it wasn’t a big deal. I told the host, Aly, my paper wasn’t there anymore and that I needed to sign up again, so I did. I even tipped the band to move up my spot in the queue because Aly was letting people who tipped the band sing before people who hadn’t. There were only 8 people in front of me, too, so even if she didn’t move me up in the queue, I figured I’d go on in about 30 minutes.

After the second set from the band, I still hadn’t been called. In between the second and final set, Aly asked the people who were still there and had filled out a song request slip to come see her and make sure you put your paper slip on her computer so she would call on you. I did that.

Live band karaoke ended at 1am. After being in the bar since 7pm and at karaoke since it started at 9pm, my name never got called. To recap, I filled out 2 song requests because it seemed like something happened to the 1st one, I tipped the band, I didn’t bother anyone, and I never got called. Shame on Aly and the folks at Fergie’s. I can’t believe I was there for 6 hours and was just blatantly ignored. I honestly think it was intentional that they didn’t let me sing. I’ve never said this before, but it could have been discrimination. I left there furious.

If you want to sing karaoke, save your money and go somewhere else. Don’t go to Fergie’s. Don’t let Aly the karaoke host ruin your night. I will never go back and spend another cent at this place that decided to ignore me and not...

INCREDIBLY Disappointed with Fergie’s

I have been trying to contact the owner about scheduling a private event, as listed on their website... I emailed the email listed for private events in December, January, and February with no response. I called to make sure this was the correct email and was told the owner is just not good at responding. I left my phone number with the bartenders who answered my calls and let me know that they informed him of the missed emails and gave him my cell phone number AND reiterated my email. Each time they spoke to him and told him to call me back. This happened no short of four times. I now in APRIL have come to the bar during the day to hopefully run into him and book my private event (wedding after party) to find that he was contacted again.. letting him know I was actually at the bar hoping to chat with him. At this point he texted the bartender to relay to me “No” in terms of booking my event without much of a reason. Even though this is listed as an option on his website?? I really appreciated the bartender who was nice and helpful for helping me out and not wasting my time like Fergie did.

However, I am a customer hoping to book an after party for my wedding and not only did I waste four months trying to contact this place. I feel SO disrespected at how this was handled. I am simply a frequent customer who had enjoyed the live Karoke at this bar and was hoping to pay to rent it out and give good business. But the owner KNOWINGLY did not respond to me for fourth months. I really wanted to host my event here and that is all I was really hopping for. A simple “no that’s not possible” to one of my emails would’ve been sufficient. I’m sad and disappointed with how the owner Fergie handled this situation and I’ll never...
