Don’t waste your time and go here. Every business is about customer service in addition to what it provides. It’s customer service should be its best and mean offering. This place does not have that.
We visited with a family of 7 people. To start with, We ordered two Turkish coffee’s and one tea. The host/server and took the order and after waiting a while, we asked him if it would be coming out shortly and he rudely tells us that the T is not available and simply walks off. So we change the order from the tea to the Pepsi since by then only the coffee came out. We asked for sugar for the coffee to both the host/waiter and the other person helping the waiter. Neither of us brought that over. We ask for the Pepsi without ice and a Pepsi’s handed with the ice and when we mentioned that it was supposed to not have ice, we were given a blank stare. See now many of these things might seem Insignificant but the level of disrespect and rudeness shown throughout our experience especially to one of our family members really made me dislike this place.
At the same time we were also observing his reactions to other customers. He told a couple that he could take their order if they stopped talking too much. I have never seen such blatant disrespect towards a customer in a food establishment before. I also noticed other people getting up from their table to walk over to the server to to place their orders.
We had a toddler he was sitting on the inside bench. The decorations nailed to the wall behind us were coming loose if it were not for the fact that I had previously noticed these decorations, I would not have realized that when one of them fell off onto the seat behind my son, a nail had fallen off with it. If you have a toddler you know that they cannot sit still. He was figuring the whole time moving and adjusting his position. The nail was over 3 inches long and it would have poked him it did not work for me moving him the second I realized it was loose. Again I understand that many of these things seem insignificant but trust me when you are sitting there, you will understand what I mean. This is not a place worth going unless they change their ways.
The food was OK but it’s definitely not worth it...

I've passed this place a bunch of times and finally went inside to try it out. I came here on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised it wasn't overcrowded. We didn't have reservations, but they were still able to sit us right away. The location is convenient, right on South Street, and easy to spot with it's Mediterranean inspired facade.
Inside is light and decently lit, and there's even a small second story/loft area for more secluded dining.
The waiters were quick to fill our glasses with waters and since this was the first time for either of us to try more authentic Turkish cuisine - we had lots of questions! They were very friendly with helping us review the menu, and I loved that there were plenty of vegetarian options to choose from!
We chose to family style the meal and ordered cig kofte, the spinach and feta boreks, and the hot hummus (served with pita bread.) Prior to our meal being served, they brought out a complimentary palate cleanser before the meal started - what a great touch!
The food didn't take long to arrive, and it was perfectly seasoned to our liking. The amount of dishes/portions were perfect and even though we chose things mainly off the starter menu, it was plenty to eat. The spices were apparent without being overbearing. I like a solid kick to my food but don't want to feel the pains later.
I found the service great and the food delicious, glad I finally had a chance to check out this place - looking forward to hit it up...
Read moreWe went for breakfast. The menu stated $25 per person, but you couldn’t order for just one person ,you were required to get the two-person option. Unfortunately, the breakfast we received was definitely not worth $50. The sucuk in the sucuklu eggs was sliced so thin that it ended up burnt, which was expected. The bread and flatbread served with breakfast were hard, though the simit was nice but it was just a small simit cut into pieces (supposedly for two people).
I didn’t understand the point of the pile of greens in the middle. They served a huge wooden plate filled with greens and placed a few thin slices of cheese and, if I’m not mistaken, five or six olives on the side. I’m not sure who came up with that idea. If it had been called a vegetarian breakfast, it might have made more sense.
The only thing I actually enjoyed on the table was the menemen the consistency and flavor were very good.
Even though we were the only table at the restaurant, we waited more than 30 minutes, maybe even 40, for our breakfast. The kitchen is incredibly slow maybe they are understaffed, I don’t know but that shouldn’t be the customer’s problem. Honestly, how long can it take to prepare breakfast for just one table, even if there’s only one person in the kitchen?
The waiter, Newroz, was great ,super friendly and attentive. I really appreciate his warm attitude.
Overall, there were only two things I liked from this experience: the menemen and the waiter, Newroz. Unfortunately, the rest was...
