South Street Art Mart is a gem that I always make sure to visit whenever I’m in Philadelphia. This place has been my go-to for unique gifts for loved ones over the years, making it the perfect spot for those "I never know what to get them" people because they truly have something for absolutely everyone!

The shop owners are incredibly kind and keep the place fresh and always funky. The atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive, reflecting the diverse and vibrant community it serves. You absolutely HAVE to check out the awesome stickers – they had me laughing out loud!

South Street Art Mart is probably a good store and I wish I could visit the store but when I visited from outside of Philadelphia. I looked up the store on Google Maps, it said that store hours were from 12pm and 5pm. So I came around 1 pm to find a sign on the door that said the store was closed due to teaching a class at the library. I know they didn't mean nothing bad about it but I guess that's just real life. It's just a bad experience when I traveled from so far away just to go to that store and I've seen it was open on Google. It actually wasn't open. Im never trusting Google for hours ever again at any store. -Additionally there are a lot of stores on South Street near the water that say they are also open and when I look at the building. The building has been vacant for awhile and bars on the door with no merchandise...

HOW did i take so long to find this place? This store embodies EVERYTHING i love about philly. The store was filled with amazing merchandise, and with incredible people, MY kinda people. Spaceballs was playing on the TV, and i had a conversation with the lovely cashier whose name unfortunately escaped me, about all kinds of stuff. Nostalgia, childhood cringe, and Kung Fury were all topics of conversation. None of it felt forced.
