Cold food and Bad attitudes. On Sunday April 27th at 9:45 a.m., my mother and I came to the Federal Donuts located on 540 South street in Queens Village, Philadelphia. I’ve gone to different Federal Donut locations throughout the city and have always had pleasant experiences. However, the experience I had at this location was absolutely deplorable. I didn’t obtain the names of the two individuals that almost begrudgingly helped us, but they were distinctly unpleasant. The young lady with hair twists was dismissive, and the young man with two tone hair color served us ice cold breakfast sandwiches and then refused to warm them up. The cheese wasn’t melted and the bread was just out of the refrigerator. The establishment was not busy, so there was no need for them to rush our order. The young lady with twists said it was against store policy to warm up sandwiches once they have been served. A note of advice would be to warm the bread and cheese for the sandwich so they aren’t ice cold and properly match the description given on the menu. The one positive out of this travesty of an experience was the old fashioned glazed donuts which are ALWAYS delicious! I would not recommend...
Read morethey're ok donuts but they dont measure up to classic cake donuts. by that i mean, the texture is more gummy and pastey, whatever they change its all the same except for the sugary topping mixture. they're a 2 hour donut, and that's the same for Curiosity donuts, even beiler's get kinda tired. once they sit on the shelf, then the bag for more then 2 hours then the actual donut base is gummy and pray that the glaze and toppings carry it. OK for 1 and done, maybe a box for a hungry office party. but does not deliver for the crispy fried cake donuts, like a glazed marble cruller or glazed whole wheat i grew up on. for those fry cakes and yeast donuts i stop by the italian market or broad and oregon. the chicken is kinda wack, not sure where they get the korean fried chicken schtick. that it is not. too dry. you could get some wonderbread soaked in milk and sugar then bake it and dip it in crushed cereal and order from a kfc that has 2 hour delivery delays and...
Read moreFederal donuts are the best donuts in PA!! Why we don’t have it in NYC? All flavors are good and unique!
Location: It is located in South St. Due to covid they only allow 5 people inside the store. The interior is nice, american vibe sort of.
Service: we ordered online and pick it up and no interaction with the crew!
Food: to be honest everything here is delicious! The flavors are good. They have 1 main donut batter and they flavored the donut itself. So the donut is same flavor but the flavoring such as icing are different. FLAVORS I TRIED: cranberry white chocolate, pumpkin roll, banana PBJ, apple cinnamon crunch, double chocolate cheesecake, vanilla bean creme brûlée! My favorite were DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE, PUMPKIN ROLL, VANILLA BEAN CREME BRÛLE and STRAWBERRY LAVENDER!
Price rating: 6/10, not that bad for the deliciousness!
Definitely will come back if I come back to PA! Please come to NY! Every...
