Picture it was year 2022 ‼ Everything that could go wrong like a cheesy rom-com movie did. ( womp womp ) Cue the music 🎬🎬. After booking an air b&b and waiting for a pass code to gain entry to our staycation Getaway spot ( kinda what we get for being spontaneous on a holiday night 😦😟☹️😅 ) , my phone of course dies.

My husband and I 🏙🏛 Christmas eve❄ 🎄freezing stumbled upon this Lovely ,staff Friendly cozy warm sleek restaurant with the aroma of garlicky noodles, blended spices ,crispy duck in the air.🍚🍜🫕🫖🧄🥢

Wanting to grab a bite until the place was ready needing to get out of the cold , possibly my phone charged , while playing phone tag with the bookings short handed management. looking over a simple but nicely designed menu not overwhelming with thousands of options but choices of veggies , seafood , soups the list was not lacking anything. honestly who eats a menu anyways. 😅

We were at least able to have hot tea 🫖 that was perfectly on time for the low bitter temperatures we had both endured.

Enjoying a bowl of tasty Cantonese wonton soup , hubby went healthy started with stuffed cabbage for appetizer , the meal was making a complicated night turn for the better. ( or so I thought ) I had a very tasty 🍸dirty martini🍸 ▶Garlic noodles◀ that had invited us in with the yummy smell 🤤🤤 deciding to pair it with shrimp w/shiitake mushrooms , snuck a couple pieces of hubby's duck crispy & very flavorful skin totally worth every tender juicy bite. 😉😋

However when we had attempted to pay not knowing that my husbands bank account had been frozen due to the bank thinking he was dealing with a fraudulent purchase ,( sounds suspect) bank is closed , and we are now desperately trying to pay for our meal embarrassed 😫😳😩😱 with neither one of us having much cash on us 💸💸 but coming up with a temporary solution.

This awesome spot has taken a chance on us to be back in their opening hours to pay since we are staying nearby I will be running over there to pay the rest of the remaining balance and thanking them for understanding and being patient with us while we had a chance to figure everything out.

I know this review is long but that was a true sign of what Philadelphian's are made outta

We both Definitely want to go back after everything is paid up to try...

Walking through Queens Village and saw two chinamen having a drink, the Owner and Bartender, who waved at my girlfriend and I, presumably since I was carrying her to preserve the Christian Louboutin 120 Pigalle I gifted her. Friendliness is scarce within the celestial dome so we decided to catch their vibe and go for a drink. And then another. And then another, this time for free. The gentlemen were so welcoming and hospitable and we stayed beyond closing.

Sometimes service is everything. Besides the atmosphere inside Mustard Greens is like a throwback to the 90s, it could be enough to cure a catatonic, or perhaps give peace to Catalonia and Spain. Now, Mariano Rajoy and Carlos Puidgemont, wouldn’t that...

I really wanted to like this restaurant a lot since I felt the service was very good and friendly.

However, the food was just ok bordering on the brink of disappointment. We ordered a stir fried tofu and sesame chicken with lemon sauce.

The portions for both were on the small end vs price. The tofu had a slight sour aftertaste. The chicken was ok but the lemon sauce was just plain gross. I can't even describe it. It tasted artificial and sweet. They really shouldn't serve this sauce anymore.

They provide hot hand towels at the end of the meal which was nice. However, they do add a surcharge for using a credit card which I didn't see disclosed beforehand so that was a surprise when I received...

Friendly staff, nice ambiance, and relatively fast service. However, the portions were pretty small (compared to the price) and the food was quite average. They also served us one small plate of rice for 2 people (whereas we ordered two main dishes), and that was definitely not enough. Overall, it felt overpriced. We also didn’t understand why it’s described as “modern/contemporary” Chinese cuisine — I personally didn’t notice anything “modern” in the food we ordered.

Fresh Chinese food. Very very simple and not too complex. Flavors were on point, not too greasy or loaded with sodium. No food hangover like you would normally expect with Chinese food. We ordered: -Vegetabke fried rice -General chicken -Eggplant in garlic sauce Kinda wish we got extra sauce if some sort with the food, but overall we were happy with it! May be back! Who knows.
