Avoid this location and visit the Bala Cynwyd location. Absolutely disrespectful treatment tonight; I really enjoy sj cigars and appreciate the the Friday Saturday late hours. I have frequented this location for years, unfortunately tonight was the last. The store closes at 10 and I showed up at the door at 9:37. The door was locked with the manager talking to another customer and discussing cigars. Raining, I waited even after the store manager saw me outside. This classless manager gave me the ‘hey bud hold on 1 minute’ gesture while he rang this customer up which was 6 feet from the door. Next time unlock the door and don’t be disrespectful. Once he opened the door he told me to “make it quick because i’m closing...” then after noticing my displeasure he started bantering about how the rain hasn’t brought in customers etc. maybe locking the door might your problem...or your lack of customer service might it?! So, I shopped here for a real outlier reason: I needed to put together an offering for the (awesome) Día de la Muertos altar at the Fleischer Art Memorial for my dad. He passed away a long time ago. I wanted to offer him a pipe with pipe tobacco and matches, as he liked to smoke pipes. The gentleman behind the counter not only helped me, he found me a fancy wood box with a clasp, a pipe tobacco "tool" to scoop and tamp the tobacco, and helped me select a pipe tobacco flavor that my dad would likely like.

Then, he gave me a tremendously generous discount on everything. So, so nice, and considering that I am not a smoker myself, a pretty selfless act. 🙏

Had a great experience here making my first cigar purchase ever. So this review is really about the customer experience and not about quality/selection which I'm too inexperienced to comment on.

An individual named Josh helped me make the purchase of 6 cigars for a gift/special event. He was extremely patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. I've worked for 9 years in the specialty coffee business and have helped many first timers navigate the increasingly complex world of coffee myself.
