Three Bears is a privately-maintained playground for kids between about 2 and 10 years old. It is nicely shaded by trees in the summer heat, and there are areas for picnicking with picnic tables along one side. The climbing structure is perhaps small compared with Seger Park or Starr Garden, but full of activities like slides, monkey bars, suspension bridge and clubhouses.
Traffic is light on the cobblestoned residential streets that bracket the playground, but there are no gates to keep your little ones inside the park, so you'll need to keep an eye out that they don't wander away. Every so often, there is some kind of fun fair or kid-friendly event that is used to raise money for the park. There are flyers posted for schedules at the park, and on their website.

Read moreA cozy, tucked away little park I walked past often, until I find it on Google! There's a small stream near the rear of the park, with a water level high enough to wet ankles. Children can climb the rocks or walk the winding trail. There's a small wading pool to the front, though it can quickly get a little dirty from the fallen leaves/sticks kids put in the stream to race. So keep that in mind, parents (bring towels if they're splashing in the large pool). The staff are friendly and there’s a little café and lawn with chairs. Read moreFabulous little place full of character and charm. Circular bricked garden feature with various items of greenery which goes towards brightening up the whole park. Children's play area with swings, climbing frames, slides and of course the delightful three bears which especially intrigues and enchants young toddlers. Outdoor dining tables, plenty of seats and lots of small trees which creates a "natural" atmosphere and shade during those long hot summer days.
