Had a great experience from this place. Everything was homemade and you can definitely tell they put a lot of effort into their food. This spot is definitely on my higher list of Indian food in the area. The naan was delicious and perfect, the Mango chicken, the other chicken with the coconut and spinach was phenomenal. I would definitely come back to this spot in the future. The inside dinning is a little on the smaller side with limited spaces for seating, but it’s worth the wait.

Best Indian food I’ve had in Philly! Delivery was fast and food was great. They ask you to choose a spice level for each dish and they pay close attention to your selection, so choose wisely! We ordered chicken tikka masala as “mild plus” and butter chicken as “spicy”, and there was as a world of difference between the two! (Both amazing.) They also have chana saag on the menu, which I appreciate as it isn’t available everywhere.

Tiny narrow place. But, server made it a good experience. Had a range of dishes. FYI, medium spicy is quite spicy and we like spicy! Ordered Lamb Roganjosh, chicken Tikka masala, tandoori shrimp and aloo cauliflower, basket of breads. Food came quickly. I liked that there were huge chunks of meat and veggies, unlike other places. If you are looking for an decent Indian dinner check out this place.

Food was good. Even on the medium spice level it was a little too much but I still enjoyed the authentic nature of the dishes.

My concern was sanitation. My friend and I had used their restroom and there was no hand soap. After seeing their cooks go to the same restroom, we were curious on how they stayed sanitized.

Since we sat indoors we could hear the sneezing going on in the kitchen among the food (we all sneeze, you do what you gotta do) and that caused for some concern.

Waiter was very kind and attentive, but after asking for a drink, it was brought out 20 minutes later even though we were the only customers eating at the establishment. And the water that is served is room temp with no ice it’s in the 90’s outside!.

I would not eat at the actual restaurant again (seating indoors is limited with not much air conditioning up front) but I may order take out down the road.

Update 3 weeks later. Ordered out to go, ordered exact same meal as last time. Same price, less amount of food was provided as compared to dining. I highly recommend to order to eat inside and just take it home with you. Also the gentleman in the kitchen was walking around with...

I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala tonight and was less than pleased with my experience. I was on my way to the bar across the street when I decided to get Indian food instead. I wanted to sit down and enjoy my meal after a long day at work so when I walked in, I asked the cashier if I would be able to sit in at the tables since there were no other customers at the time. I was reassured in broken English that I would be able to sit down and eat my meal. While ordering, I was asked if I wanted my chicken to be spicy. I said a little spice for flavor but, not too much. After I completed my order, the cashier told me that I could sit down since I was dining in. When my food came out it was bagged up (stapled) and in to go containers. Had I known that they didn’t feel like serving, I would have just ate across the street. I get home (a half hour later) to warm food, and my food is so spicy that I can barely eat it. This was a horrible experience. Now I am staring at $24 rice, chopped chicken breast, hard bread, and heart burn...

It was my first time in PA and after a long drive all I wanted to do was eat!! This restaurant was heaven sent!! YOU have to go to eat from Nirvana Indian Kitchen!! It’s the cutest little spot with mouth watering Indian food. I usually don’t leave reviews but I had to because everything was so wonderful, from their customer service to their food and to the packaging of their food!!! The chicken tikka masala, briyaani, nirvana shahi paneer and naan is to die for. IT WAS SO YUMMY!! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and were very prompt at taking our order. They had the food ready in no time and we were on our way with our order!! The staff here definitely gave us a great life time experience of what real authentic Indian food tastes like!!! They gained a customer...
