Service: 4.5/5
The staff at the Bagel Place are not only welcoming but also incredibly efficient. They understand that breakfast is often a rush, so your order is prepared with impressive speed. Their warm and friendly demeanor adds a personal touch to your morning, setting the tone for a wonderful day ahead.
The Bagels: 5/5
Now, on to the star of the showâthe bagels. The Bagel Place's creations are a testament to the art of bagel-making. Each bagel is delightfully chewy on the inside, with a perfectly crisp crust. The variety of flavors is impressive, and they manage to strike a perfect balance between traditional classics and unique twists. Their cream cheese spreads are equally delectable, and I must say that the lox spread was a revelation.
Unique Offerings: 4.5/5
What truly makes the Bagel Place special are their inventive bagel creations. From the heavenly "Everything Bagel" with its satisfying crunch to the mouthwatering "Philly Special" that pays homage to the city's culinary traditions, every bite is an adventure. They also offer a delightful selection of vegan and gluten-free options, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Price: 4/5
The quality of the bagels and the generous portions make the price worthwhile. However, it might be a bit higher compared to some mass-produced chain options. But remember, you're paying for quality, and that's something I'm always willing to support.
Cons: 3.5/5
One downside is that the Bagel Place's popularity often leads to a crowded space during peak hours. Finding a seat can be a challenge, so be prepared for a bit of a wait or consider getting your bagel to go. However, the bagels are worth every moment of anticipation.
In conclusion, the Bagel Place on Queen Street is a little slice of breakfast heaven in Philadelphia. The ambiance, friendly service, and exceptional bagels create a delightful experience. Their dedication to perfecting the bagel is evident in every bite, and the inventive flavors showcase their commitment to culinary creativity. While it may lack the grandeur of fine dining, it offers something far more essential - a taste of home, no matter where you're from. A visit here is an invitation to savor the simple pleasures of life, one delectable...
Read moreAfter sitting on mute while throwing in a big smile here and there to show I am actively listening for 3 consecutive zoom calls this morning, I needed a bagel to reward myself for this life changing work. The homie mentioned this place was close and "pretty good," so I put all my trust in her.
She ordered her bagel via mobile app because she is too embarrassed to ask for her bagel scooped out in person, and I wanted to order in person because I only fear God...and because I wanted no cheese on my bagel and I don't trust the little notes section in the mobile order to be read.
The staff here is delightful, smiling and enthusiastically taking my order. I always get a BEC with no cheese, add avocado. "Johnny, you get a Bacon Egg and Cheese with no cheese?" Yeah I do because I am an individual with personal preference and the avocado gives the soft texture to make up for lack of cheese. Stop hatin. Also add some hot sauce or ketchup and it's immaculate.
I waited about 5 minutes at one of the many tables in this place, among a few people jamming away at their laptops with their noise canceling headphones on. My anxiety of "damn i should be working too" set in and I whipped out my phone to begin writing this review. After typing and deleting the first sentence 3 times, my name was called. Great service.
My BEC no cheese and add avocado was good as they provided ample bacon and like 2 FULL eggs. The only thing was I asked for it toasted and it didn't seem toasted. God I feel like a Karen even typing that, but I do love my everything bagel toasted crispy.
I also think my expectations are F'd up from NYC bagels, as that has become my standard. Black Seed Bagels really just performs on a different level. Best bagels in nyc by a mile dont @ me.
All in all, I love the Bagel Place and will be back. And what a GREAT name honestly. "Where'd you get that from?" ... "Oh yeah it's heat! I got it from the Bagel Place!" ahahaha I love that name. I want to open a restaurant one day called "The Chicken Spot." Not sure what kind of food we will specialize in yet that's tbd...... I'll keep y'all updated.

Read moreThis is my 4/5th time coming to the Bagel place. I specifically come here on Sunday and Tuesday Mornings (my two days off from work) for their Philly style bagels! I travel about 45Mins to an hour just to come here! Now the last two times I came, have been very unpleasant to say the least. Last week when I got home, I had realized they given me a completely wrong bagel. My husbands was delicious and correct, as I wished mine to be. I had gotten a lox bagel with cream cheese, Instead of My âBECâ on a Cinn raised bagel. I do not eat fish, so my husband split his sandwich with me. I didnât call or complain, I figured it was a little mistake things happen. Now fast fwd to 10 mins ago(Sun 7/17/22) I ordered a bagel for my husband (which seems to be always correct ) & my once again cinn raisen bagel. Now I decided to eat my bagel on my way home. Thank you I did bcs I did not like it. It had a sour consistency and a overload of cin taste. So not thinking there would be an issue, I sent my husband in to change my order. Long story short my husband went in and asked for a change of sandwich, and when he did he was completely embarrassed in front of many customers. On top of being disrespected and embarrassed over changing a bagel.. THEY STILL HAVE HIM THE WRONG BAGEL. Now I called and a manager would not speak to me. I turned my car around and went right back. When I walked in the manager didnât even look at me. I wound up getting my bagel finally, but I payed 12.99!!!!! I spent $38.97 for three bagels and was only supposed to be two. And a whopping 2 hrs of torture. Very disappointed in the way this was handled; the unprofessionalism and the disrespect is absurd. Letâs not forget the amount of money that was blown for no reason at all.
Very upset because I truly enjoy most of their bagels. Truly disgusted with the managerial services here. At this point I deserve a...
