Pancho's Cafe — Restaurant in Philadelphia

On Friday, I noticed this place on my way to the wine & spirits store - apparently, a new storefront sign was installed this week. It's a small, young family-run taqueria that's been open for a while - very nice owner cooking at the grill.

While waiting in line at wine & spirits, I called Pancho's and placed an order for takeout. It was ready in about 20 minutes: Pancho's torta, a generously-sized grilled sandwich with carnitas, chorizo and bacon along with an order of shrimp and carnitas tacos especiales (3 each). The tacos were flavorful and moist bordering juicy, and the torta reheated nicely in the oven for a delicious breakfast the next morning! Looking forward to picking up from...

This place is GREAT! Tucked away in Northern Libs. If you love Tacos and Mexican food and looking for an authentic place, PANCHO's is the place. I have been going now for about 2 years. Estoban and his wife make the best food ever. Its a BYOB, which is a plus. The place is pretty small and there is some seating inside but not much. There are tables outside for nicer days. I always get the 3 Fish Tacos (there is this Chipotle Aioli sauce, its to DIE for!!). Quesadilla, Burrito and Tacos are on point, banging, slammin', delicious and fresh. Service is good and fast. This place is such a cute little shop at the corner of street. Seems family owned and very down to earth vibes. Stopped in to get some dessert but next time will try the food. The churros were crunchy with small interior. So sugary and piping hot. Great with chocolate sauce. The flan was very different, never had it with cake before. But it's half flan half chocolate cake.
