I would give it zero stars if I could. The waitress was extremely rude. Everytime she spoke to my significant other regarding our dining experience, she would rudely and disrespectfully dismiss him and not listen to him. The customer service that she provided was absolutely subpar and a disappointment to say the least. The salad had brown lettuce that may have been going bad. Why would you serve that to any customer? We were the only black couple in the es uptablishment and was pressured into tipping them. The food portions compared to the price of the food was disproportionate. The waitress who waited to everyone else did not seem to confront anyone else for a tip but us. We felt very uncomfortable and deeply angered by this experience. The waitress treated the white and asian customers much better than us. I believe this is due to race. Overrated place and not worth the price. We will not be dining there ever again. Our first experience here was everything and it only took one experience to know this establishment is not worth spending our hard earned money at. Tips are earned not handed to you by customers. Just because you served us does not mean you deserve a tip. Your customer service and the type of guest experience you provide is crucial. Just food for thought, if you customers to provide gratuity, provide an experience worth...
Read moreI warned my family that the Japanese food we get in California is generally pretty good and better than we can get elsewhere. The food here was on par with what we’re used or better.
The tempura seemed slightly below average, but the black cod was excellent and plentiful with a generous portion of asparagus, the sashimi platter was quite good (hamachi was the winner there), and the lava cake with ice cream for dessert was a nice surprise.
I was a little surprised to be offered white or brown rice, but the brown rice ended up being what I’ve come to know as Korean multigrain or purple rice. I also love me some hamachi kama (yellowtail collar), but apparently the last one went to the party before we arrived on a Friday night at 7p. It was recommended that we ask to reserve one when making our reservation. Now we know. :)
Fantastic service and would highly recommend this...
Read moreU visited this spot 3 times, yesterday would be ny last. Shiori hana can be called as a premium restaurant considered Philadelphia' pricing level. A piece of plastic wrap shown in the soup of the sukiyaki which I ordered yesterday. I can fully understand why this may happened and the root reason. I just cannot forgive such a careless mistake. Thoygh theu replaced a new one. Furthermore, like my friend pointed out, they are lacking of waitors, waitprs should not leave their customers along in order to avoiding requiring service. Waving hands in a upper middle level place is not an proper action.
In the end, one surprise, a young girl of my similar age looks just like ARTEMIS herself shown up the human world. She's so gorgeous, you may encountered a goddess if you visit this restaurant. That's why I give...
