Been to many boil places across the country, this was my first time at one in Philly. Wasn't sure what to expect.

The service was okay, a bit curt. The asian gentleman who helped me had terrible breath. Was also difficult to understand him.

I got the crawfish/head on shrimp combo with cajun/garlic butter sauces mixed, medium heat. Only add-ons I saw were potatoes and corn. I'm used to seeing sausage, mushrooms, and other items on the menu. After ordering, I saw sausage on the opposite side of the menu. Asked the server to add "pork" sausage to the order. He told me the sausage comes pre-mixed, with beef, pork AND turkey. Again, weird. Went with it.

Also wanted oysters. Asked for a platter of 12, when the server told me they are steamed, not raw. Never had steamed oysters before, so just ordered 6.

Took about 10 min for the food to come, pretty quick. At first glance, the oysters didn't look appetizing. Yes, I know they were steamed not raw. The taste of a steamed hot oyster isn't the best. Won't be doing that again.

On to the bait bag. The crawfish were HUGE. Bit surprised by that. Sauce smelled amazing. Dove right in. First crawfish tail.....zero flavor. Previously frozen (expected). The sauce didn't permeate the shell. Dragged the next one through the bag juice, much better.

Second was the head-on shrimp. WAY overcooked. Tried to peel it, disintegrated as I pulled the shell off. Turned into shrimp paste in my hands. Shell was super-glued to the meat. All of them were like that.

The sausage was weird, each one of the meats having different flavors.

Corn and potatoes were okay.

Overall, wasn't terrible. Was okay. Need to cook the shrimp better and give customers choice of sausage and other add-ons for...

I went to the shake seafood Philadelphia 180 w Girard avenue with my family (First time there) of 6 with one being toddler who is 2 years old for my son 16th birthday. We got seated waited a couple of minutes then our waiter Benus came over. First thing came out of her mouth was we have a 18% gratuity for parties 6 or more we told her we had a party of 5 with a 2 year old toddler she said the toddler was included also. She never even greeted us! I said ok because I didn’t want to ruin my son birthday so I began my ordering I ordered 4 mini snow crab seafood boils which came with 2 sides for $15.99 a piece benus then says would you like shrimp and mussels with your snow crab as if they were my 2 sides I agreed and said yes. When my bill came out it was $226.62 I asked benus why was my bill so high and that she never explained that the shrimp and mussels was a separate charge for each of the seafood boils. I went and paid the bill but I was highly upset because I never planned on spending $226 on seafood plus I had plans on taking my son out after that but couldn’t because I had to pay that high bill. I will never come back! Benus customer service was the worst ever and I don’t recommend no one...

Collin - good service / gave great suggestions for first time goers

Rita - good drinks / we had two Long island / pineapple peach mojitos

Food; Dungeness crab shrimp with head off, Clams,Green mussels, Egg(2), Hush puppies & Garlic noodles. We got spice level hot & it is spicy in the best way! No complaints ate it for leftovers as well, I think everything was cooked to perfection & seasoned well.

Very appreciative of the multiple fans blowing around the dinning area. Very clean dining room floor.

I’ve recently ordered from uber eats and their lemon pepper wings are delicious and both times have been delivered hot.

*Both Men & Women Bathrooms smelled atrocious! possible sewage issue? Needs to be resolved quickly.
