I'm a big fan of the food (and normally the service), but my experience this evening was the worst I've ever had at a Chili's.
I ordered my food for Curbside Pick-up and my food was ready when I arrived, but it took over 20 minutes to get the payment sorted. I used a $50 Happy Card gift card and my order was $52.65. She tried my gift card and she said it was invalid. I told her that the front of the card says to run it as credit. She tried and said it didn’t work. I asked if she tried to charge the whole amount or just the $50. She said that she can't separate it and the bill will automatically go down by $50 if it was active but it wasn't. I told her I'd call the card company to confirm and it was indeed valid. I told her and asked if I could just pay the $2.65 in cash first so she could charge $50 flat to the card. She said she couldn't do that but then asked for help. I waited for about 10 minutes for another associate to help. She told the first employee that you can split the tender. She took my cash and then ran the card and said it was inactive and that I couldn't use it. I told her the front of the gift card says to run it as credit and asked if she could try again. It worked and the senior staff member who helped then stomped away.
I finally left with my food, relieved it was over and then when I got home, I found out I didn't have one of my mashed potatoes sides and I didn't receive the Cheese Bites that were part of my Triple Dipper. I called the store and told them the issue. They said that they ran out of cheese bites and I asked why I wasn't told that when I picked up my food. She said that I could come back and pick a different side. I told her that I already drove 10 minutes home and would like to pick it up another time if possible and then the call disconnected (or she hung up on me). I called back and spoke with another associate and told her the situation. She said that whenever I want to get my missing food to just ask for a manager and tell them the situation then and that she doesn't need to write my name down or anything.
Overall, almost every staff member I interacted with was very short, rude and unpleasant to work with. They elongated my entire purchase by not listening to my request to only charge $50 to the gift card as credit and kept telling me my gift card is invalid and that it won't work when it actually did. Then, I come to find out my order was missing multiple items and I was never told that they ran out of part of my order. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a Chili's which is disappointing because I do enjoy the food. The service has greatly turned me off and I don't know if I will return or if I do, it definitely won't be to...
Read moreCame to this location after trying to go to Arrowhead location. Arrowhead had an hour+ wait time even though there were tables available, because their kitchen was so backed up. So we left and went to 7th street & Bell location. We were seated with 5 minutes and had our order in within 5 more. Waitress was super nice and accommodated all requests for different condiments, drink refills, etc. I had a free upgrade on the appetizer fo rmy 3 for 10 meal so got the "queso" dip to go with the chips and salsa. Chips were lovely as usual, super thin and delightfully crispy. Salsa was fine. Queso was not bad, but not what I think of when I hear queso dip. For the few that don't know queso means cheese so I anticipated yellow, gooey, cheesy goodness. It came out on a like cast iron skillet and was brown...ok, weird but we'll see...I am pretty sure it was some kind of cheese sauce with quite a bit of chilli mixed in. It was almost like eating canned chili but not quite due to a thicker consistency from the cheese (or cheese sauce) being mixed in. Not the best but not gross. I had the original chicken crispers with corn and fries. Corn was pretty good, fries were OK, chicken was cooked really well and the best Chili's crispers I've had in a long time. They had the light beer batter or tempura (?) and were actually crispy while the chicken still juicy. Good job! My friend had the Cajun pasta and the enchilada soup which is always a hit with her. Soup looked great and was actually cheesier than the queso dip ironically. She loved the flavor of the pasta but not the chicken that comes with it so much. It looks like those precooked chicken breast you can buy that have markings or seasoning on the outside, sliced up. Hopefully not but that is what it resembles. Rest of her...
Read moreI had a party of 5, Was told it was a 20-30 min wait, ok. Waited a hour and 10 mins. We were seated and my wife and I noticed our original waitress didn't want to serve us. Cool I won't force you to serve me. Random guy comes and helps us. We see him only 4 times during our visit. He takes our drinks and order, drops our drinks off, then our food, now finally the bill. We ask for refills from when we see him. While being completely ignored by our original waitress, who we've seen more than anyone around us. Now for the food, we ordered 3 steaks, Mac N Cheese kids meal, and a burger. Asked for medium on the steaks. We got well done with a little crunch, on all of them. Mac N Cheese was burnt, visibly could see the black around the edges of the bowl. Burger was ok but had everything we didn't want on there, we took it off our selves, simple. We also had mashed potatoes and broccoli with the steaks. Potatoes were cold, had a bad taste and later made us feel sick. Broccoli was burnt tasting. I don't know how you burn something your boiling/steaming. We didn't want to go anywhere because we were hungry and didn't say anything about the food for fear we would wait more longer. We couldn't leave, because we had a diabetic with us. I think it's best to go to another location to spend your hard earned money and where your appreciated. Not here. This happened a day ago, and I wasn't sure I was going to post this review. But I thought people should know what might happen to them when...
