Diana's Bakery — Restaurant in Phoenix

Discovered this place during quarantine. I just moved in and was ordered to work from home but still hadn't unpacked my coffee essentials. I needed coffee stat. My go-to coffee shop that I would hit up before going into work once in a while doesn't have a location for 10 or 15 miles from here sadly, but this bakery hushed me and said everything was going to be just fine!

The café de olla is out of this world. No creamer needed, but I don't do black - either way you have it will be amazing! They didn't strain well my first time but on every other visit it has been perfect on temp, texture and taste.

Can't attest to their cake, but their pan dulce is thee best in Phoenix. (Yes, even better than Phoenix New Times' pick!) My days of peeling the dulce off the conchas and tossing out the pan are over! Moist and tasty all the way through. I've introduced it to my whole family and they've driven miles for them already. Cookies, croissants, niños envueltos are absolutely impressive too. So very proud to have this bakery in my neighborhood!

Realmente estoy muy pero muy decepcionada, siempre había ordenado los pasteles en esta panadería para los cumpleaños de mis hijos, y nunca había opinado sobre lo que ya me había pasado anteriormente aquí hace años pero como hoy es la tercera vez que lo hacen, creo que no es justo que engañen al cliente y digan que si te van a tener el pastel listo y como uno realmente lo mandó hacer, decoración , y sabor, y por eso lo ordené con tiempo y me pidieron más de la mitad de lo que costaba de anticipo en realidad ellos querían que pagara completo el pastel cuando lo ordené y que el día que lo necesitara solo lo fuera a levantar, pero le comenté a la persona que me atendió que no podía pagarlo todo al momento de ordenar porque no tenía la seguridad de que me fueran a entregar lo que yo realmente había ordenado porque una vez pagué todo una plancha completa de pastel y cuando fui a levantar no me lo habían hecho y nunca me llamaron, la segunda vez que me quedaron mal, solo había dado la mitad y cuando me lo entregaron ya estaba en la caja y realmente fue mi culpa porque no lo revisé al momento porque tenía prisa y solo pagué lo faltante y sorpresa cuando llegue a casa y lo miré no era la decoración ni sabor, lo decoraron para mujer y el pastel era para hombre😡y hoy parece que no he aprendido volví a ordenar un pastel para mi hija, y nunca me llamaron para decirme que no tenían la decoración del pastel y cuando lo levanté solo le habían puesto una mugre figura impresa al pastel y se suponía que era un juguete el rostro de la muñeca en 3D y me entregaron algo nada que ver a lo que ordené, y todavía me preguntan que que quería hacer, por supuesto que no iba a pagar el pastel completo porque no me estaban entregando lo que pedí, de cualquier manera ya había dado más de la mitad anticipadamente 🤦🏼‍♂️y la verdad nunca más vuelvo a ordenar pasteles en este lugar, la verdad que decepción ya no es como años anteriores hace muchos años antes no había...

This bakery has really good danishes, their little cookies are delicious and their cheesecakes are pretty tasty as well. However, this place should not promote making personalized cakes. I recently ordered a cake for a baby shower that was supposed to be boxing themed with actual strawberries filling and the outcome of the cake was pretty disappointing. I was told the cake would be ready by 1:30pm, got to the bakery at almost 3pm for pick up and we still had to wait another half an hour, the cake was not ready, all the details were made last minute and the filling only had literally 3 pieces of strawberry.
