I recently visited Hawaiian Brothers restaurant and had an overall pleasant experience. The restaurant carries a welcoming atmosphere with the casual Island vibe inspired by Hawaiian culture and hospitality. The concept behind Hawaiian Brothers is to bring the flavor of Hawaii to the community combining Hardy Island dishes, refreshing tropical drinks, and a relaxed setting that makes you feel like you stepped into the islands. The staff greeted me warmly, and I appreciated the friendly service. When my food was presented, the young lady gave me a great big smile, made eye contact, and Express gratitude in Hawaiian language, which added a personal touch and made me feel valued as a guest. The hospitality truly stood out. I ordered the chicken and rice. The portion size was fair, and the flavors were enjoyable, but the food was served warm rather than hot. For a grilled dish being served hot off the grill makes all the difference. Heat not only enhances the taste but also adds to the overall perception of freshness and quality. It appeared as if the food was sitting under a heating lamp for a while. Ensuring food is delivered piping hot could elevate the dining experience significantly. On the positive side, the pineapple lemonade was absolutely the bomb delicious refreshing, bright and perfectly balanced the fresh pineapple was also a nice addition offering a sweet natural flavor that complimented the Island theme. These touches showed attention to detail and help highlight the concept behind the restaurant. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Overall Hawaii Brothers offers warm hospitality, great drinks, and a fun concept. With improvements to full temperature and fast table service it could easily move from good to...
Read moreHad been hoping to check this place out for a while. Once we finally had the chance, we (wife and I) went simple and just got ourselves Dole soft serve in (March of 2025), which is incredible, being such a basic but delicious dessert. We made further purchases of just the Dole whip, but each time we picked it up, we became more and more intrigued from the wonderful smells coming out of the kitchen when we picked up our orders. We finally decided to order some food on May 31st, 2025. It was very simple ordering online for curbside pickup. I ordered a mixed plate with Mookai chicken and Luau pig, which comes with rice and macaroni salad. I also ordered a side of veggies, a dole soft serve for both my wife and I, and my wife ordered the Honolulu chicken with no macaroni salad and instead subbed a pineapple skewer. We each loved the meats--they were all so tender and easy to eat (no need for a knife), and it was all seasoned perfectly. She really liked the pineapple to compliment her chicken. She thought there was too much rice, but I thought it was a good amount and I had just enough to each with each bite of the meats I ordered. I did find the veggies under-seasoned, and probably won't order them again. Also, I wasn't impressed with the macaroni salad--it was bland to me, and was the only part of my plate that I didn't finish. Also, when I pulled up in front of the building, I pulled out my phone to contact them I had arrived, and there was an employee at my car door before I could even open the application up--very helpful...
Read moreI wasn’t looking forward to going here because of other experiences at Hawaiian restaurants. But I am glad I went. It is one of those places where you order at the counter and get your drink up front. One part I don’t like is the computer suggests what it deems an appropriate tip when you run your card. I have decided that I will NEVER leave a tip ahead of time - especially since nobody actually provides any kind of service. When those computers first started suggesting, I was used to doing 20% and soon realized it was stupid to pay for nothing. But I digress. The restaurant is so clean that it sparkles. Someone was cleaning the glass on the front door as we were arriving. Both employees greeted us with a friendly “aloha” and had beautiful smiles. The menu is pretty limited with a half-dozen variations of chicken and one pork dish. Your choice is large or small. Small was fine for us and our companions had large. The meal consisted of the chicken, some rice and a macaroni salad. The chicken neither looked like chicken, nor did it taste like chicken. And I say that in a good way. It was delicious and as tender as my heart! The employees came by a couple of times to ask if all was well. The smiles radiated the whole time. We didn’t try dessert but I am sure it would have been good too. And we got by for less than $30 for the two of us! Definitely a place I will visit again. ( and likely leave an anticipatory...
