I only went in here because a driver of theirs almost hit me on the sidewalk while I was walking and he was turning into the complex with no turning signal. After making eye contact and continuing across the street he decided to squeal his tires as soon as I was inches away, so I decided to see where he parks and discuss it with him, he never appologised but said he did it "because he was on the job" showing me his Jimmy John's visor, as at the time there was no indication of him working in that plaza until he showed this, so I asked of his manager was in there and he said no. There was a "manager" I find although she didn't act like one because as I am making my complaint she is allowing him to talk over us and make excuses, like "a car was going fast behind him" as if it would matter if he'd indicated a turn, pulling up to me only insured that if he now got rear ended, his car would be sent directly into me... I questioned if she was actually a manager and pointed out that one would not allow him to be talking over and at a customer complaintant, she tells him to go and he heads into the crowd of employees of whom HALF were blatantly smiling and laughing at times at me, saying "he", and at times at the situation, saying "it/it's". I say have as some hid it better than others, and even if they wanted to, had the decency to control themselves un front of the customer who couldn't possibly find any part of this funny, but it was more likely, the majority sadly. I mention this to this in store "manager" a couple times and she says "I will talk to them" one of them wouldn't stop and laughed the entire event. Additionally the driver punched the restaurant's equipment one time really hard in front of a lot of people, and threw fits a few times, prompting more laughter from his coworkers each time.
So I asked who her manager was, and to talk to him, she is unable to reach him, but says there is another manager, who she reaches on, I believe her personal cell phone and hands it to me telling me his name is Chris, he has some deal more professionalism than all of the in house staff had combined even though by that point, mine was all used up, bit he listened and at least sounded concerned and surprised that this had happened. He heard me out and asked to again speak with the in house manager, it was taking a while so I let her know that "I'm going to get out of here, I don't want anything from this, I just want him (the childish driver) to do better at his next job"
I would though in retrospect like to see an actual manager reacting to the video playback of the whole staffs (save for a few maybe.) unproffessionalism.
Also the in store manager did seem very somber towards the end of this all, I think finally realizing that I was very serious and it was not a joking manner, and that it wasn't a time to choose a side, as is how I observed her at the start of it. So O hold nothing against her, she wasn't expecting this and wasn't at fault, and was young, so I'm sure she'll continue to improve with more experience.
The driver however, never apologized, instead calling me and the situation stupid, making excuses, at very least he admitted fault in what he had done, but seemed to have no belief that he was in the wrong, blaming it on invisible cars, punching his work places equipment, which is considered domestic violence if done in anyone's presence, it could be an employee or customer next time, or a hand fracture at place of employment. I don't trust anyone with violent outbursts like that, especially around customers or their children, let alone staff that is forced to work with that, who aren't just as bad as him.
Chris apologised the moment he heard what happened for the driver, ever notice the most sincere apologies are from those who would never owe you...
Read moreSave yourself your time and just your patience with these workers & go somewhere else or at least to a different Jimmy johns. You’ll thank me later. I know these workers are always high on the job but they could at least be nice. No harm in a little bit of customer service right :) Bread was stale to the point where it hurt my jaw to eat. I honestly wasn’t going to say anything until towards the end when I noticed half of my toppings were missing. I was trying to save myself the overall annoyance of talking to a manager. When I went up to ask/talk I was greeted with not an ounce of customer service. Chuckles under their breath, rolling eyes. Not an apology, nothing. Absolutely nothing. Then when I left the store I notice they all go to the back and she’s telling the rest what happened, giggling pointing. Oh yeah I also didn’t get any sort of compensation, refund, nothing. I work in customer service as well and I can understand annoying customers definitely, but I was not one. All I would’ve appreciated was an apology or something, literally anything. Instead I got a girl with pink hair that was supposedly the manager who said little to no words. If I was the manager I’d be apologizing for STALE bread and...
Read moreThis is a brand new restaurant so I will give it another try. My experience was that the staff was a bunch of young guys with no type of personality (ie. welcome to Jimmy John's, hi, hey how are you? Nada just looking at me like 😶) This was my 1st time trying Jimmy John's so I asked what was good just to see if he had any suggestions. Nothing 😮. So I ordered a turkey sub with chips and a drink. I didn't get to see what toppings were going on because you can't really see what the guy is doing with the sandwich as it is being made. I go to the end of the counter to pickup my sandwich. It was wrapped in the sandwich paper and the guy just laid it on the counter like "here you go".😕. I had to call him back and let him know the order was to go and I needed a bag for my sandwich. The overall experience was of a staff that really didn't know what they were doing or haven't gotten the right training to give a good customer experience. The sandwich was okay but would have been better if I knew what toppings they had available. Will revise my review the next time I try this ...
