Lupita's Hot Dogs — Restaurant in Phoenix

I have been coming here for years, but the last time I went was terrible service I asked for four hot dogs with everything and one with nothing for my daughter and was charged the same price for something that didn’t have anything just a dog with no bacon wrapped in a bun and still charged 5$. Also ordered a set of fries, but I never received the fries so I go back and I let him know I didn’t receive the fries and he says ok we’ll make it right away I wait for 10 minutes and I ask him if the fries are ready and he looks at me like I don’t know what I’m talking about. Having the receipt in my hand I told him i ordered a side of fries. I received everything except the fries and tells me ok and that he will get on it so I have to wait again and I go to him again to see if the fries are ready and then he tells me you didn’t order any fries what are you talking about? for another lady to tell him he is a different customer and he did order fries so they finally gave it to me. I will never come here again I have been going to Lupita’s for years and felt disrespected of them thinking I was trying to steal even though I had the receipt and didn’t even leave the parking lot it’s a shame that they treated me like this after...

Wow. A coworker recommended this spot to get my Sonoran hot dog fix. I came to this hidden gem at 10:30 on a Friday night, I was surprised to see they were open until 2:30am! The street was a bit dark because most businesses around were closed. Lupitas illuminated the surrounding area with music and the delicious smell of hot dogs. It looks more like a food truck with outdoor seating, but they do offer indoor seating while you wait which is nice.

I got the Sonoran dog and the cheese fries with hot dogs and jalapenos. Their Sonoran dog takes my #1 spot as the best I've had. Gotta love the toasted bun, pinto beans, tomatoes, and lightly drizzled mayo. Delicious! The service was great too, multiple people asked if we had everything we needed. There is a sauce bar as well, plenty of options to accommodate anyone's taste.

Deliciosos! The hot dogs are just amazing, all kinds of toppings and about 2 or 3 types of salsas you can choose from. My favorite part is the sautéed onions and roasted chili they serve them with, love it! Very hot during summer time but you have the option to order to go. I could be wrong, but I think they have their own indoor establishment just across the street from that tire/car shop that’s behind them. Haven’t had the chance to check it out yet but I could swear I saw their hot dog sign on that little plaza. Regardless, I definitely recommend you give them a try and see for yourself. As for the hot dog buns, in case anyone is wondering, I’m pretty sure they ‘special-order’ them from some local vendor.
